iPad 2: Replaced wifi antenna, now wifi is working but bluetooth is not?

I replaced the glass on my Ipad 2 and did not read up properly beforehand.... After reassembly my wifi was awful although bluetooth was working OK. I bought a new wifi/bluetooth antenna and redid the procedure, making sure to be gentle with the new antenna and placing it right.

I reassembled again and wifi is perfect, I thought everything was good. Only now did I notice that I can no longer connect to my bluetooth logitech keyboard! I wondered if the keyboard was bad (it is new) so I tried to find my Ipad's bluetooth signal with my PC and it does not see any bluetooth devices.

Bluetooth settings on the ipad is not greyed out. It searches, but does not find anything. What might be wrong? Wifi is great but it seems I traded wifi for bluetooth, boo hoo..... =( I just updated to the latest IOS with no improvement. If I was to open it up a third time I still wouldn't know what to change, I followed the detailed guides on this page but still I may have messed something up. Is this isolated bluetooth issue familiar to anybody?

iPad 2: Old iPad cannot update through iTunes Recovery

I have this old iPad 2 (Model A1396) that hasn't been used for a couple years, and when I turn it on, after charging it for a bit it comes up with a charger symbol with the iTunes logo. Plug it into a MacBook and it says there's a problem and I need to choose "Update" or "Restore" but when I choose update, once it downloads the software update it gives off "iTunes error 27" saying it can't be updated. Did some research and it means that the battery cannot hold enough power to do the update, but everything else is fine. Tried doing it in DFU mode, still didn't work either. Is there another way I can fix the problem without completely wiping everything on it, or if I do need to get the battery replaced, how would I go by doing it? I don't want to lose any data

iPad 2 CDMA: Rainbow of garbled colors on screen after screen replacement?

Hey all - my daughter cracked the screen on her iPad2, so I gave screen replacement a try myself. Before I did, while the screen was cracked, the iPad other wise looked fine and the display was correct.

Seemed to all go well. I must admit I did touch the LCD with my hand a few times, and there were some tiny marks on it, perhaps form flakes of glass. I used the little rag that came with the repair kit to clean the LCD as best I could.

I buttoned everything back up (but didn't glue down the new glass yet. I fired it up - and the screen is 100% covered with garbled lines in a rainbow of colors. I couldn't reboot because you can't see anything on the screen. I held down both buttons, etc. But it just seems to restart and the issue is still there.

I've checked the connections 10 times. All is perfect.

Is there anything else I can try? Is there a cable or anything I might try to replace before buying a new LCD?

iPad 2 Wi-Fi EMC 2415: EMC 2328, bootlooped for sometime, now it blinks and won’t charge

Hello people! I don’t know if this was asked, but I don’t know how to search about it, so I’ll write about it. Recently (2 years ago) I tried to turn on my 2nd gen iPad, since the last time I checked it worked. But when I tried to, it kept boot looping and refused to enter the charging screen. Now is too dead he keeps on blinking trying to charge itself but without success… I charged with its charging cable since 2013 and always worked. Do you guys have a clue what is going on? Or why did this happen? I talked with a tech guy, he told me the motherboard can be damaged, but before spending my money I’d like a confront, because I got a feeling something is not quite right about the statement.

The charging cable makes a really weird noise when is trying to charge the iPad

iPad 2: Is it my LCD or the digitiser screen that is faulty? (or both?)

There is a hairline crack across the outer screen (I can feel it with my fingernail). Also the screen image is flickering and there are double images, but it works fine as a touchscreen. Could it be caused by the screen pressing on the LCD? The damaged was caused by me sitting on it after I put it on my car seat. ˙◠˙

iPad 2: How do I fix "iPad is disabled" error?

Hi,

In my tiny community, I'm known for fixing iPhones and iPads. The other day I got a very interesting iPad 2 (iOS 7.1) which has been totally disabled with wrong passcode tries. The owner swears she always entered the right passcode and it didn't unlock.

She even tried so long that now the iPad only says: "iPad is disabled. Connect to iTunes." When you connect the iPad to iTunes, it says it's locked with a passcode. Really? Who would've thought. :)

I even went to her place to connect the iPad to her computer because I naively thought the iTunes there will definitely say I should enter the passcode. Well it didn't. She of course doesn't want to lose all the data, because she obviously didn't back up this iPad in a very long time.

I'm playing with the idea of opening the iPad and disconnecting the battery. Do you guys have any experience with that? When I reconnect the battery and turn the iPad on, will it offer me a chance to enter the passcode?

All constructive opinions and questions welcome! :)

iPad 2 Wi-Fi EMC 2415: Removing digitizer glue residue

I have an iPad2 on which the digitizer was completely shattered and had to be removed piece by piece. I've done this but there is a lot of glue residue left all around the edge of the device. I have the 3M glue pads and I'm ready to install the new digitizer, but I want to remove all the old glue first, some of which still has somevery fine glass shards stuck to it. Is there a solvent I can use to achive this without damaging the device? If not, is there a way to do this so that I've got a clean surface to apply the new glue pads to?
