iPad Pro 11": Rolled over the left USBc placement clip while replacing my battery

Hi there, I'm in the middle of replacing the battery for my 11" 1st Gen iPad Pro and the stupidest thing happened. The two clips on either side of the USBc port, the left clip fell off my dsek and I rolled my chair back to grab it and rolled over the %#*@ thing.

I can't find a replacement for the clips... please someone help... It looks like the replacement USBc port doesn't have the clips.

this is such a stupid problem... but it is a problem none the less :)

Hello :) I own 9th gen iPad, that doesn't charge and I can't turn it on. I'm trying to diagnose it, I have basic knowledge in fixing electronics.

I have iBridge A3 Lightning port tester, everything is green during test.
I have dissasembled iPad, connected power power supply directly to board (4V) (everything but power button was disconnected from board), there was no current draw so i think it excludes any obvious short circuit. After pressing power button iPad starts to draw about 0.95-0.12A and nothing happens. I have also connected display to board to check if anything displays, but no. Nothing heats enough so I can feel by touch, I have also tried freeze spray test but I didn't notice anything warm/hot.

Can somebody provide me any directions? Despite all green on iBridge tester, can it be Tristar chip? Or is it dead cpu? I hope somebody can give me some directions. I have hot air station and access to microscope, so I can resolder something, but I need some guidance what else to check. :)

iPad 10: iPad 10 not charging after customer inserted metal object into port.

I’m repairing an iPad 10, that’s not charging and restarting.

The customer inserted a metal pick to clean the charge port and he describes it going bang and some smoke.

I’ve identified 2 issues but don’t know the part names/lines/voltages etc.

I’ve found an ic that’s cracked - top left off the LCD connector - its numbers are:

37A80R8 - 2E4B - F2A2Z - can some one tell me what this ic is for?

The only short to ground I’ve found is in the first pic. Just to the top right of the PMIC - 8 caps and 2 Coils short to ground.

My iPad Pro 10.5" is not turning on and the screen remains completely black. It occasionally turns on briefly, but when it does, it refuses to charge. I have already tried a force restart, cleaned the charging port of any debris, and tested multiple known-working MFi cables and high-wattage power adapters, but nothing has worked. What are the most likely board-level or component failures for these symptoms on this specific model? Is this more likely a battery failure, a dead charging port, or a Tristar/charging IC issue?

iPad Pro 11" 2nd Gen: Line breaks using Apple Pencil.

While using Apple Pencil on iPad Pro 2020, abrupt line breaks are observed while the same is not observed when drawing from finger. There are certain abrupt places on the screen were the touch Screen stops working.

however these issues are irregular and sometimes they vanish completely and the iPad works completely fine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My Apple Pencil connects to my iPad via Bluetooth and the double-tap feature to switch tools works perfectly. However, it will not draw or register any touch on the screen unless I wrap the tip in tin foil. I have already replaced the tip 6 times with official Apple tips and verified the gold transducer pin is straight and clean. I've tried forgetting the device, restarting the iPad, and checking accessibility settings. Has anyone found a way to fix this without replacing the whole Pencil? Is there a known internal grounding issue that causes this?

Im betting it was my little sis that went and bent it, ipad is bent inwardsʼ bend killed smart connector, ipad is school owned so i canʼt get it repaired without getting a giant ass fee i canʼt pay, typing this at school so i canʼt take a photo, bend itself is only a few degrees.

My iPad is like really broken and it has cracks and holes that we can see on the inside and like yesterday i was just drinking water and my iPad was next to an open bottle and my mom didn’t see the bottle open and she accidentally made water spill all over my iPad and it really got inside the screen and so now my iPad won’t turn on and i just don’t know what to say i had photos of my dead friend in there and i don’t know how to retrieve it back.

I have an iPad 8 that is iCloud locked to my old account that they randomly deleted, and it is extremely cracked, and it’s o only 32gb and stuck on iOS 26 so you can’t do anything on it and I was wondering if the iPad 9 logic board fits in the 8th gen housing because I think they’re really the same size.

I recently worked on an iPad Pro 11" 3rd generation and replaced several parts:

Chassis (housing)
Display
All 4 speakers
USB-C charging port

After reassembly, I’m now facing multiple issues:

Charging is detected but extremely slow (battery percentage barely increases)
All speakers are heavily distorted (on all corners)
USB-C audio only works on one side (only one earbud)

The USB-C port is brand new and properly installed.

I double-checked all connections and flex cables, nothing seems out of place.

Has anyone already encountered this kind of issue after a repair like this?

What could be causing it?

I was thinking about something related to power management (PMIC / charging IC or maybe a damaged power line), but I’d like to hear if others have seen similar symptoms.
