iFixit Precision Bit Driver: My Mahi 1/4" Handle came apart!

The screw through the bearing into the rotating palm handle on my Mahi driver came loose. It looks like the only way to repair it is to get a hex driver through the handle from the nose end. How can I get the magnet out so I can reattach the palm handle portion?

I am comfortable pressing it out but am hesitant in case the steel tip unscrews or there is another way.

Hi!

Thank you for your great guide! I have a question regarding the Torx screwdriver sizes. I own a toolset that includes T6, T8, and T10 sizes as well as a few others. In your guide, it is listed that a "TR10" and a "TR8" screwdriver is needed. After watching several videos pertaining to hard drive replacement, many people claim that they are using the standard T10 and T8 sizes. Is there any difference between the "TR" labeled screwdrivers and the standard "T" ones? I don't want to have to buy these two screwdrivers if the ones I currently own will work. Please advise. Thank you!

The spinning top of my 1/4" driver fell off. The screw is still inside the handle under the bearing. I haven't found a guide on how to repair this.

iFixit Precision Bit Driver: How to remove magnet stuck inside driver head

So, the story isn't long and it was me being dumb, but the magnet that comes with the case fell off and ended up inside the driver head, I tried super glue but it just doesn't stick. The driver does work, the bits fit but not all the way, any ideas on how to get it out?

I need a Torx TR10 screwdriver, but I have something call a TT10x7 by Stanley. Are these the same thing? It appears to be the same shape complete with hole in the middle (I’ve attached some screenshots) but wanted to check first. I also have a TT25x100, would this be the same thing as a Torx TR25?

iFixit Tool: High contrast labeling for Manta Precision Bit Set

Hi there,

Is there anyone here who adapted the labeling of every tool of his Manta Precision Bit Set for a better contrast ?

I’m not known to have vision impairment but I find the labeling very hard to read on this set (and I assume it is the same with other sets). For instance, making the difference between a P5 and a T5 and a T6 is very hard. A black labeling on a dark gray foam is definitely not a great choice in my point of view.

That been said, I would enjoy to simply print the labeling with a better contrast on a sheet of paper or anything more durable, cut the holes and glue the sheet on my set.

It is still a significant work to prepare for proper dimensions and labels, so I would enjoy if someone already did it. Or even better, if someone at iFixit wouldn’t mind to send the original file ^^

ifixit Screwdriver: 2 bits Stuck together, how I can remove them?

I was assembling my project with a screwdriver bit with the new drill, I used the drill adapter, but it was soo strong, now the 2 bits, the 1/4 to 4mm and the square key is stuck inside the adapter, how I can separate them again?

It says that I have to heat up the iopener in 60sec but it does not get as warm as needed... I can almost hold it in my hand without it is to hot...

can I warm it in 2-3 min so that get useable?

My microwave works great...

iFixit Precision Bit Driver: Larger driver in the MANTA toolkit... are bitssupposed to be magnetic?

A few months back I purchased the Manta toolkit. I had already owned a Pro Tech Toolkit. I have done several PC builds in this time, and have noticed that the driver with the Pro kit, along with the smaller driver in the Manta kit, both exhibit some magnetism through the bit, preventing screws from falling off the bit.

Unfortunately, the larger driver in the Manta kit does not exhibit the same magnetism. For example, a fan screw. I do not need to hold it onto the bit with a finger when using the smaller drivers, but the larger driver, I am required to since there is no magnetism/pull through the bit. Is this intended?

iOpener: Can cold temperature damage it?

Since there is a special liquid in it, can it be frozen? If so, it won't be damaged? I am afraid, because if i order it, it will be stored in parcel machine, which is located outside where is cold.
