Electric Fireplace: Heater cuts out after a few minutes and doesn’t come back

Hi my electric fires works for a little while then the heat stops and the ambience stays on. The heat level in the room or settings on the fire make no difference. Even when left on ambience all day the heat will not come back on.

As soon as I turn on my fireplace, it starts making a humming sound. I think it might be coming from the vent fan, but I'd like some advice on how I can repair it or replace the damaged part.

My gas fireplace has a wall switch to turn it on but it doesn’t work. I see the pilot light burning and the gas valve to the fireplace is on.

I have a fireplace in my entertainment centre, however, it no longer gives off heat. I can turn it on, and the flame lights up, but no heat is given off. Can anyone help me please? Thank you.

Cable plug melted from electric heater. I already replaced outlet but outlet plastic melted too. Should I replace cable plug and circuit breaker with higher amps to 20amps instead of 15amps?

The red power on and off switch lights up for a split second when turning it on then goes off.

Fuse works fine. Is 13a in 13a plug.

fireplace: Blower / Motor on Fireplace Insert Not Working / Burned Out

We have a 10 year old insert/blower in our gas fireplace. The switch that controls the blower went out, so ordered another switch and installed. Worked about a year, went out again. Repeated process, but this time wired the switch incorrectly.

When we turned it on, the motor blew??? Electrical smell and smoke from back of fireplace; now fireplace blower will not come on at all. Currently have wires disconnected, but thinking I may need to replace the motor (or perhaps the blowers/fans. Unsure.

I have the owner's manual; Travis Industries House of Fire DVS Insert EF II. Pretty expensive insert when first installed (i.e. 4K). This company out of Beaverton, Oregon. I can order replacement parts, but just unsure of what to order. Two blowers listed (left and right); control valve Assembly, Cord Restrainer, etc.

On diagram, power in Molex Connector... ????

Any ideas on this? Anyone with experience? Thanks

I have an electric insert, with 3 switches. 1st switch does nothing, 2nd switch turns in the fan. 3rd switch turns on fire and heat.

Do the lights of the fire come on without heat?

I am thinking that the first switch may be the flame light without the heat.

Am I correct? If so how do I get just the light without the hear?

I tried to send a picture.
