So my dad found has other old Zune and it’s works and I just restarted it and it went to a grey screen after the Zune logo I don’t here any hard drive falling sounds is it a software glitch? And I promised my brother to not open it up

I have plugged my charger in upside down into my zune and the charger came out fine but now it won't charge what so ever and I was wondering g if there was a place for me to take it in and get that fix it if there is a do it yourself way to fix it.

Zune Flash 2nd Generation: Third party battery replacement different wire colors?

Recently pulled this old Zune out of storage and attempted to replace the battery with a supposed 'like new' third party one. Getting in and doing the soldering work was a breeze with the instructions here. However I'm still not getting the Zune to boot up.

The third party battery did have a different wire color. Red, White, Black, and Green compared to Red, White, Black, and Blue on the original. All were soldered to the same place with Green in the same places as Blue originally.

Anyone else had any luck with these and getting the Zune to boot up?

Zune 120gb: error code C00D124D

When ever i try to download music i get error code C00D124D on the computer however the Zune itself is frozen on 16% syncing. Theres still the flashing dots in the back round but it says at 16 %

My zune shows the connect zune to pc screen and upon connecting it my computer recognizes it and it pops up on the zune software stating "You must update your device before you can use it." When I click install to update the device, appears: "The device has not been updated. Summary of error: The device was not updated. Error Code: C00D1249. I rebooted it and did the whole restart process to the point where it cleared the contents and was followed by "Connect Zune to your computer but then when I did this the same thing happened over again.

What can I do to fix it I have tried to restart the zune and reboot it and nothing has worked so far. I was wondering if it could be one of the components that is defective such as the harddrive or the logic board or maybe one of the cables?

I have Zune 30 that looks like in good shape and that I tried to connect to two different computers both having the Zune app. One running Windows 10 and the other Windows XP.
