ZTE Awe: Does this phone send and receive group text messages?

I am unable to send or receive MMS group messaging on this phone. I tried to download a different messaging app, but it still won't let me send. It says to try inserting a SIM, but his phone does not support that. I can still send through my old app, but it sends as separate messages, not as part of the group thread. The messages I receive come as seperate messages, and not as part of a thread. Anyone know how to solve this?

ZTE Awe: What is this part?

On the back of my phone under the back cover, there is a little black sticker. It came off and exposed a part of the motherboard. What part is that?

Could this part being exposed be causing the erratic opening of apps when the phone is sitting idle? I've read that this may be because of humidity.

Thanks.

ZTE Awe: ZTE awe soft-bricked?

i downloaded an update, ( FROM THE PHONES MANUFACTURER, ZTE), then was greeted with the encrypt. unsuccess. screen, but i was a pre-noobie, this was my first SMART phone, so i rebooted the phone, as instructed.

i then proceeded to flash bad rom, after bad rom, (about five total, maybe four), i can still boot in DFU, and to cwm-based recovery v.6.0.3.7, but the phone no longer can see/mount/format,etc. the (external) microsd card. any help is greatly appreciated, and probably undeserved. thank you just for reading this.
