Yamaha Motorcycle: Loud Whistling/Whining After Doing Valve Adjustments

I'm hoping someone could please give me any advice.

I'm experiencing a weird whistle/whine noise when giving throttle on my 09 Yamaha YZF R6.

I just did the valve clearances and never heard this noise before, I reconnected everything the same way I took it off and was sure to triple check I got my timing marks lined back up when reinstalling the cams.

Has anyone experienced this/ have any idea what could be causing this? Main concern is I may have skipped a tooth or something on my timing.

my 07 vino 125 has been sitting for over a year, engine would spin over but no start. i removed carb and cleaned but could not get the small jet out. carb was not very dirty so i put it back on. before trying to start i drained and cleaned tank and put fresh gas in, i sprayed a small amount of starting fluid in it and started up , run good above idle and high rpm but won't idle. if i hold throttle above idle speed it runs rough any help i would appreciate it. thanks

this is a 1987 fzr 1000.It won’t start.the starter works and engine spins but it won’t fire up.there is plenty of gas.

Yamaha Motorcycle: Headlight and gauge illumination failed simultaneously

I replaced the battery on my 1995 Yamaha XV1100 (Virago) as the old battery was just too tired. It started and ran great. Passed the mandatory NYS inspection. Everything was working fine. Parked the bike for a couple of hours when I got home. When I went to put it in the garage, I started it (no problem there) and I noticed that neither of the gauge lights was illuminated. I then noticed that the headlight was also not lit. All other lights and electrical accessories (except the high beam indicator) work as normal (taillight, park lights, brake light, turn signal and indicator lamps, oil pressure light, neutral indicator light, horn, heated grips). The headlight bulb does not appear to be burnt and there is continuity between the terminals on the bulb. The four fuses under the indicator light panel are good. So far I've looked in the headlight bowl and under the seat and the wiring looks solid (no visible corrosion or worn insulation). Jiggling the wires with the ignition switch on does not produce any effect. The bike starts and runs fine and all other lights still work fine. I have the Clymer manual for this bike but it says practically nothing about the lighting system. Any suggestions would be appreciated as I am not good at electrical problems.

I have a yamaha gladiator 125 bike. Its not self starting but starter motor works. When i take my bike a long ride and it heat up self start is working when the engine is in higher heat. Previously i had to change the coil pack due to not starting both kick start and self start. Bike works fine after change the coil pack but self start not worked. Need help.

Road Star XV 1700 2006, solenloid pushes the two rods in, but valve does not stay open to decompress. Anyone an idea ? Cheers. Two days later : After opening up the crank-carterI, I found one of the two rod- levers was slightly bent, so it didn't push in the decompression-rod enough to engage the extra crank-opening-moment of the exhaust-valve.

Yamaha Motorcycle: Starting problem possibly electrical?

My 2000 Road Star 1602 has had a problem for many years now.

The thing won't start until the speedo sweep has finished and the yellow light does a faint blink.

I have taken the cover off of the decompression assembly, and it doesn't activate until the faint blink.

It cranks pretty good considering the decompression spoon isn't activated for a time!

I've read the manual and have checked all of the electronic connections.

I suspected the ignition unit since the schematic shows a direct connection between it and the decompression unit. Replaced it with 2 other units to no avail.

Any clue where to look next?

The battery, starter, starter solenoid and rectifier have been changed.

Yamaha Motorcycle: Oil light came on , but it's full

My oil light came on , on my 96 Yamaha virago 750. I changed the oil and filter, but it still is on. My pump is still working and I don't have any leaks. Iit doesn't have an oil sensor, it has a switch, which doesn't help me, cause I know nothing about that. Don't how to check that, not sure if you even can. Not sure what else to do.

2004-2009 Yamaha Vino 125: Fuel leaking from an open hose coming from bottom of carburetor I

Trying to figure out why fuel leaks steadily out of a very small hose coming from be very bottom of the carburetor. Hose does not appear to attach anywhere seems like an open hose. Leaks only when running. Also a thicker hose coming from mid carb leaks some as well while running. That hose Appears to be a vent hose of some sort and is sliced add a 45 at the end. Final note I have got the scooter to run smoothly but just facing these leaks any information would be greatly appreciated , the gas tank is nowhere near full checked already.
