I was listening to music normal and it started lowering the volume by itself. I tried to get the volume higher a few times (pressing the up volume button or using the screen) but it kept going all the way down.

So i turned it off and cleaned it a little bit just in case something was bothering the button from the outside, or if the system was stuck. Then when I opened it and it still thought that the down button was pressed so it sent me to fast boot. Somehow I managed to boot it properly and now it seems to be okay, but i think it will happen again.

Is it a hardware or a software error? if there’s nothing I can do about it I might need to buy a new one.

My Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 suffers from frequent freezing and random restarts. It can restart on its own even when I’m not using it, or when I receive a phone call. Overall, the performance is very frustrating.

Hi, I only replaced the buzzer speaker and therefore the plastic piece that screws on, I looked around and spoke to someone more expert and he told me that it could be a resistor or capacitor in the motherboard. Previously to what the customer said it had been taken to a repair center and they didn't fix anything. Unfortunately I just started and I don't have all the tools such as the soldering iron and the multimeter.

Recieved an Xiaomi Readmi Note 8 Pro water damaged phone. Removed all the shields and cleaned the board with ultrasonic cleaner.

1) Found out that VSYS line was shorted out (Found the badboy on the motherboard and removed) now VSYS is showings correct voltages.

After i put the phone to charger it is showing fluctuating "Amps" 0,15 till 0,48 and still cant be booted.

Voltages from some measured capacitors are going up and down continuously.

Hoping to fix this problem, I turned off my phone and turned it back on but now it shows a menu having the options "reboot"; "wipe data" and "connect with MIAsistant" and the screen doesn't tun off. I tried rebooting the phone but this lead me back to the menu because the button is still pressed. In order to prevent the battery from dying I plugged my phone in.

I have no clue what to do now so help would be great.
