Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X: Why the mi note 4 isn't Powering back on?

a night ago, the phone was completely fine, and battery was less so i decided not to overcharge phone the whole night, but the next day when i put the phone on charge, it didn't powered back on. and it was stuck on the "mi" logo and probably nothing helps as it was probably stuck there for around 3 hours and then i started to lose it and i used this method where someone pointed out that i should use some more/less output power adapter to charge or use my laptop to charge the phone, their phone jumpstarted and mine didn't, this was to try and get the phone to power back on, but no help again. someone also suggested me to use fastboot during the charging and during the usb connection to laptop. but laptop isn't able to detect my phone, so thus, the phone didn't charged and i am back at squre one. I even tried safe mode to try and get phone on, but it keeps getting back to the black screen and so there is progress again.

Please I do not want to lose my data, i want the phone to be as it was. please guys, this is a request and urge by me to help me solve this problem, i would really appreciate it.

My phone got wet a few days ago but it worked fine so I payed no attention and used it normally. But yesterday I plugged it in and it didn't charge. I dissassembled it, I cleaned it, I followed every advice I found in the internet but it still didn't work. But now I tried to plug it using pressure and at some point it started charging. I used a rubber band (:P) and I left it in. I wonder however if I should do it or not. Is there any possibility it breaks down or explodes?

Hi, my phone accidentally fell into the toilet yesterday, i manage the save the phone within 5 seconds, i left it dry after i got home, although the power key and the AC cable won't work, so I open the back case and wait until the next day. My relative then help me to dismant the components in the device, well... it's quite dry inside, there are no signs of corrosion or any other parts that are broken or damage. My relative thinks that the battery short circuit because it has a quick flash after I retrieve the phone from the toilet, should I try and buy another battery to test it? If the battery won't work, should I also buy other new components and to test it? I was thinking if all of these components won't work, then I might consider buy a new phone.

Is this method ok? Or any other suggestions?

Removed battery but phone still smells like sickly sweet citrus

Hi there,

Last night I tried to replace my battery but the adhesive strips broke. In my attempt to remove it I punctured the battery. At first I didn’t realise that the sweet smell was from the battery but, after I found out, I stopped working on it. The battery was still stuck on frame of the screen and I just left it outside for the night.

This morning I managed removed the battery but the smell still permeates the frame. However to notice the smell you have to hold it pretty close. Is it safe to reuse the screen part? I read that lithium ion fumes are toxic. The frame is sitting on my desk as of now. Hopefully I can reuse it.

Hi, I have accidently drop the phone into the toilet, but I took out the phone within 5 seconds.

I have open up the back case of the phone and clean it with tissue and to let it dry, is this method applicable to resolve it?

How should I let it work?

My phone start restarting itself a few days ago, but only when connected to wifi. Is it possible to replace the wifi component of the phone? I’m thinking maybe the wifi component is faulty.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X: Phone wont charge after water damage repairing (Turns on and works)

I have recently cleaned up a Xiaomi redmi note 4X. It turns on and works with whatever charge is left in the battery.

I think the shown battery level is incorrect. Stays green at 40% (with green led notification)

It is not charging further. When switched off the led stays green as if it was charged, never over 40%.

Ampere shows is consuming battery and not charging. It showed usb cable connected, but did not recognise it again after unpluging and pluging again.

I fully discharged a replacement battery doing tests, it wont charge. Now I am working with the original battery which is at 40%.

Any ideas?

Hello all!

''Note:- i actually have redmi 4x and not note 4x as the device wasn't available on ifixit.com so I have to select redmi note 4x as my device.''

My phone is unable to connect to the pc through usb. when I plug the phone to my pc through usb the phone just charges no notification comes that usb plugged or anything. neither my pc shows any change no new device is detected in my devices even no “device not recognised “ thing.

neither my phone now connects to otg now.

and another thing to note is that my phone which is rated to be charged at 2A charges at max 350mA(ampere app) it starts from 850 mA and gets reduced to 300mA or less all these when connected to a perfectly fine 2A charger and have tried different chargers as well as usb cables no success.

any fix for this ??? please help. I think it's internal hw problem.

My redmi note 4x can not be turn on unless i disconnected the battery and plug in the charger. This problem happen after my nephew spilled his milk to my phone.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X: Can see through replaced LCD - frame and flex cable visible

When replacing the LCD+Digitized (without frame - I had to reinstall it on a new frame since the old one was broken) I was able to see the flex cable and the frame behind the LCD after installing the new LCD.

Here is the phone’s print-screen:

So it’s possible that the LCD is not the issue since the print-screen doesn’t show the flex cable and the frame so i’m puzzled how that burned into the image.

Does someone know what the problem is (why the frame behind the LCD is visible) and how I can fix it?

Hello and sorry for my English! My phone is Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 (MTK). Few days ago I plugged my phone into the car USB charger through a cigarette lighter and nothing happend - phone wasn't charging , so I unplugged it and 2 hours later i wanted to plug it in my home to wallcharger and nothing happend again. I tried with 3 others chargers and USB cables, but it still wasn't charging (Other phones are normally charging with all of this chargers) Then i tried connect it to PC but still noting happend. Phone was slowly dying with battery, but it works - i mean screen, speaker, camera etc. I put that phone into the wallcharger to night and it charged to 12% but was very hot. Then it died again (after slowly discharge) . Then I swapped USB port (this litte plate) to the new one, but that didnt help. Can someone help me with that issue?

I swapped this, because i have Redmi Note 4 on MediaTek. But still can't charge my phone.

Is there any chance that flex which connect main board with this usb port board is broken? I mean exactly - CM855_MAIN_FPC_V2.0?

Problems started recently and the phone is under warranty. During the conversation after a while, the interlocutor I hear as in the basement. The sound constantly goes down. Repair the phone is not possible, and the store refuses to accept the goods without protective labels. Where to deliver this phone for verification or replacement? Will the delivery company accept it without labels? How else can the problem be solved?

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X: Speaker sounded muffled so I removed grill cloth

Speaker sounded muffled so i opened the phone and removed grill cloth/safety cover for speaker which was teared,now works fine does leaving it open disables water and dust resistant, Is there any alternative tapes or covers to soften the speaker
