I’m experiencing abnormal battery drain that may be related to the loudspeaker or its circuit.

This issue started after the phone was exposed to water and briefly short-circuited.

Symptoms: When the speaker is connected, it heats up to around 42°C in less than 5 minutes, while the phone itself remains cool. During this time, the display briefly changes color from black to gray.

The speaker output is heavily distorted (similar to a damaged TV speaker) and extremely low in volume, even when set to maximum

After disconnecting the speaker, the battery drain still persists. Even in idle mode, the battery can drop by approximately 10–15%.

I would like to ask

What could cause current leakage in the loudspeaker circuit?
Could a faulty speaker, amplifier IC, or power line cause battery drain even after the speaker is removed?
Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

I dropped my Redmi 13C in soapy bath water for about 5–7 seconds. When I took it out, the screen initially looked normal, but after a short time it started glitching like an old analog TV with static.

I turned the phone off and let it dry for about a day. Now when I hold the power button, the phone vibrates (like it normally does when opening the power menu), so it seems like the phone is still functioning.

However, the screen now shows nothing at all. There is also a small amount of fog inside the camera lens.

Does this mean the display is permanently damaged, or could it still be moisture inside the phone? Is there anything else I should try before replacing the screen?
