Xiaomi Mi 12X: Water damaged phone won't turn on, need helps on next steps

Hi all, I'm looking for help with people who have experience fixing/salvaging water damaged phones. It's not critical that I save the phone, everything was backed up into the cloud and I'm now using another phone but I thought I'd embark in a new DIY project for fun and learn something new.

Phone's history: 1 year ago, screen started acting up when the screen brightness decreased, phone would show green lines and static image making is unusable. I bought a new screen and replaced it with success following this site's tutorial. To close the back panel I used tesa double sided strips and therefore the waterproofing was compromised

Incident:

Phone went into the pool for 5s 1 week ago. I turned off the phone immediately (unfortunately I wasn't home and couldn't open it to disconnect the battery). Now the phone is completely unresponsive. Doesn't boot, black screen when I plug a charger in.

Next day when I opened it water damage and corrosion was visible.

I used IPA 99.7% and a soft toothbrush to clean the motherboard and this is how it looks now. Removed most of the corrosion from the connectors

And here's the rest of the phone

To my untrained eye I believe all the connectors are clean from corrosion? After I don't know if there could be damage to the connector's pins that are not visible.

I purchased on Aliexpress a new charger board and a new battery (they're fairly inexpensive so I thought why not

This is where I am right now. I'm curious to know what would be the next step for a professional? Somebody told me to dunk the whole mother board into IPA for 3min. Unsure if it's a good idea.

Keen to hear what would be the appropriate next step in my situation.

Thanks in advance
