I've had this bench drill for about 8 years. and it has wored well until now. Today I get a problem where as I am using it (with a drum sander in the chuck) the motoe continues to spin, but the chuck does not turn, and the displayed speed drops to 0. I am sanding with a light touch, so I am not putting much load onto the mechanism. Since I am visually impaired I am not keen to strip down this machine if it cn be avoided.

My Ryobi sander started making a strange noise and is not sanding proper. I made sure there were no loose screws, cleaned it and then let it sit for a few hours to cool down as I had been sanding on and off for several hours. Unfortunately none of these seemed to help. What could be causing this and is it fixable ?

Ridgid R4300 Planer: rattling noise from inside when I switch on.

When I turn switch on to use planer there is a rattling noise like something is loose coming from inside. I removed the vacuum port and cover but didn't see anything loose. Was going to remove the switch cover to look inside there so I removed the top screw of the cover and need to know where the bottom screws are because the switch comes out at the top but is hung up at the bottom. Didn't want to try to much because I don't was to damage it. The planer works great and cuts really well just don't want to keep using it in case something got inside of it. I purchased this unit used.

Ponceuse Orbital Filaire Dexter 350W - 350OS2.5: Dexter orbital sander pad slipping

My Dexter orbital sander runs and the electric motor spins but for some reason when applying pressure on the pad, the pad hardly spins. Eventually with enough pressure the pad will stop altogether while the motor still runs. This is unrelated to the hook and loop pad not holding the sanding paper disk. Any idea how to fix it? PC350RS 125 mm

Hi, the backing plate does have a visible circular line of chafe however it is not grooved or anything.

There is a center screw on the shaft I believe but I could not find a way to open it as it only can spin with the part beneath it.

The device has no lock button.

I belive this maybe a slipping belt issue, either a gone one or covered in dust. However I cannot find a way to get to it, or find a replacement from this seemingly non existant Dexter brand
