Wine Refrigerators: Magic Chef model MCWC50DST wine cooler EFF error?

This is for a Magic Chef model MCWC50DST wine cooler. The unit stops working with a "EFF" error on the digital temp display randomly. It will restart when the power cord is disconnected and plugging in again. It runs OK for a few days and then EFF again!

I keep the coils free of dust frequently.

Vinotemp VT-12TEDi: Wine Fridge not cooling down past 71.2F.

I bought a thermoelectric wine fridge that wont cool down past 71.2F.

Here’s what I know:

I’ve changed out the Peltiers twice

Peltier IS receiving 12.4 volts

Control board is also receiving 12.4 volts

Both red and green lights on the control board are alight and NOT blinking

All fans work just fine and have good bearings

None of the capacitors look damaged. I realize they can be without looking like it…but it doesn’t seem like they’re the problem

Display works just fine, as does the interior light

Used fresh thermoelectric grease

I’ve checked that I have the node installed with the cold side towards the cabinet multiple times, for posterity’s sake. I checked the node by connecting the red and black wires to their corresponding wires on the control unit/board and plugged in the power cord. One side immediately got hot - I wrote “cold” on the side that didn’t.

Could there be something wrong with the thermostat making it so that the control board thinks the interior temperature cold enough already, but isn’t? What am I missing?

Wine Refrigerators: Very specific noise that my fridge is making.

Hi, my wine fridge is making a very specific noise when it clicks. Is it fixable?

I have a vintec v30sg I have inherited. It runs okay for the first day but then makes excessive noise/ vibration when trying to cool and violently clicks on and off (the whole wine fridge shakes and you can hear it from 2 rooms away). At some point it keeps clicking every 5 minutes, multiple times, sort of like trying to start an old lawnmower trying to start the cooling but doesn’t seem to want to go.

The clear door also ends up with a lot of condensation that it drips on the floor. Located in sydney (in case that’s relevant).

Vinotemp VT-12TEDi: Vinotemp does not cool and smells like burning

My Vinotemp 18-TEDS lights up in the front but is was no longer cooling and there was a light burning smell coming from it. So I unplugged it and I've been troubleshooting it today. When i have it plugged in the red/green lights flicker a bit and I hear a very faint "hum" I have also turned it off and removed motherboard and looked at all the capacitors and I don't see any leaks and perforated tops or side breaks (I suppose I could be wrong it is hard to see everything perfectly) I reattached the motherboard and now I plan to check the fan unit. Any idea if the fact that the lights are flickering means the motherboard is still good? I don't want to buy a new one since I just found out they are about $75 so it would be a waste. The fan unit is a bit cheaper but there is a cold and hot fan part listed on the Vinotemp sale site which is confusing. Please help if you can deduce anything from what i've written here and thanks for the informative photos and instructions! Sara
