I have a Cecotec Bolero GrandSommelier 1550 CoolCrystal thermoelectric wine cooler (15 bottles).

The cooler itself appears to be working and producing cold, but the temperature displayed is clearly incorrect.

The temperature is normally set to around 17–18°C, but the display has shown temperatures of 26°C, 34–35°C and sometimes “HH”, while the inside of the wine cooler and the bottles are actually much colder. In fact, the red wine becomes noticeably too cold, almost like white wine.

This makes me suspect that the cooling system itself is working, but the temperature sensing/control circuit may be receiving an incorrect temperature and therefore continuing to cool when it should stop.

What I have already checked:

• Unplugged the unit for several hours and restarted it.
• Removed the rear cover and inspected the main control/power PCB.
• Checked the rear fans and Peltier/heatsink area.
• Removed the internal rear grille and inspected the internal fan and cold-side heatsink.
• Opened and inspected the front display/control PCB.
• I found no obvious burnt components, damaged capacitors or loose wiring.
• The fans appear to operate and the Peltier system is definitely capable of cooling.

The main PCB is marked BD-166A-1.6.

There are markings for NTC on the PCB, but I have not been able to identify where the actual temperature sensor/thermistor is located or how it is connected. I do not want to start disconnecting or replacing components without knowing what they are.

I will attach detailed photographs of the main PCB, front display PCB, connectors, fans and thermoelectric assembly.

Could anyone help me identify:

1. Where is the temperature sensor/NTC located on this type of wine cooler?
2. Which connector or pins on the PCB correspond to the temperature sensor?
3. Could a faulty NTC, wiring connection or control PCB cause the display to indicate 26–35°C/HH while the cabinet is actually cold?
4. How can I test the sensor and what resistance/value should I expect?
5. Is there anything visible on the PCB photographs that could explain this behaviour?

I am happy to carry out further checks if someone can guide me on what to test.

I have a vintec v30sg I have inherited. It runs okay for the first day but then makes excessive noise/ vibration when trying to cool and violently clicks on and off (the whole wine fridge shakes and you can hear it from 2 rooms away). At some point it keeps clicking every 5 minutes, multiple times, sort of like trying to start an old lawnmower trying to start the cooling but doesn’t seem to want to go.

The clear door also ends up with a lot of condensation that it drips on the floor. Located in sydney (in case that’s relevant).

I have a Vinotemp 155 bottles wine cooler/fridge. purchased direct from Vinotemp in July 2020. the unit stop working on Mar 18, 2024. called and emailed vinotemp but i couldn't get any help from them. all they want is the serial number of the unit but i can find it and they can't tell me what to look for the serial number. does anyone know where i can purchase a PCB (power control board)? or anyone any suggestions as how i can get it fix?

Here’s what I know:

• I’ve changed out the Peltiers twice
• Peltier IS receiving 12.4 volts
• Control board is also receiving 12.4 volts
• Both red and green lights on the control board are alight and NOT blinking
• All fans work just fine and have good bearings
• None of the capacitors look damaged. I realize they can be without looking like it…but it doesn’t seem like they’re the problem
• Display works just fine, as does the interior light
• Used fresh thermoelectric grease

I’ve checked that I have the node installed with the cold side towards the cabinet multiple times, for posterity’s sake. I checked the node by connecting the red and black wires to their corresponding wires on the control unit/board and plugged in the power cord. One side immediately got hot - I wrote “cold” on the side that didn’t.

Could there be something wrong with the thermostat making it so that the control board thinks the interior temperature cold enough already, but isn’t? What am I missing?
