Windows Tablet: Is there any chance of repairing this Xiaomi keyboard?

Hi, I have a big problem with my keyboard, some time ago I bought a rather unusual Xiaomi Book S tablet with a keyboard and unfortunately the keyboard got damaged due to frequent opening and closing , the ribbon in the keyboard was damaged, I took off the leather around it and it turned out that somehow the ribbon was torn on one side , is there a chance to solder it back so that everything works properly?

Microsoft Surface Pro 7: Login Screen is coming in black

My job has this Surface Pro 7 and I turned it on earlier and it worked just fine, got logged in and everything. Now when I try to turn it on again I encounter the same problem everyone else has when they try to use this Surface. It starts up with the windows logo then loads into a black screen and plays the start up noise. I cannot get it to show me the login page at all. If I hold the power button while its on it brings a page that says slide down to turn the Surface Pro off.

I reset the thing and it pulled up the bios screen and everything so its clear that Windows and screen are working besides this one hiccup on the login. I just connected a mouse to it and the mouse even shows up. So for some reason its just not loading up the login page from the looks of it.

Surface Slim Pen 2: How do I get my pen to work/charge?

After not having used my pen for a while and having it sitting in the charging tray of my Signature Keyboard on my Surface Pro 8, it doesn't seem to work anymore. It's not lighting up when the pen is placed in the tray like it used to. What can I try?

I've run Surface Diagnostic Kit which doesn't test for the pen though, and it doesn't indicate something being wrong with the keyboard. Is there a way to check if the keyboard is not charging it anymore?

Microsoft Surface 9: My surface is stuck on logo

My surface pro got an upgrade, then when it finished, it said that I can't login to my device via face ID or my PIN. Only password, i had forgotten my password because I barely used it, and i didn't have it written anywhere else. I know this is my mistake. I tried a few things, didn't work. I went to troubleshoot page and tried a few things to perhaps restart my device completely so I can open my surface, this was done by I think holding the power button down (it's been a week so my memory is not the best). Then it no longer started showing the troubleshoot screen, and instead showed just the logo. So now i can turn off and on my surface and can't go beyond the window logo point. I tried doing a usb recovery to reboot it, it wouldn't work. I tried usb c directly plugged into the surface and usb a plugged into an adaptor. I made sure usb recovery drive checked off all that was in the microsoft support website on how to create a usb recovery drive. I'm stuck on what I should do, and how I can get this fixed? I bought my surface off of facebook market months ago (about 5 months ago), and it was working well. It was bought new and barely used as well, so it's not old. It's in a good condition. I'm also in Canada ON, and I'm not sure how I can contact microsoft directly for help, if someone knows please let me know. I've went to a few repair shops already such as Best Buy Geek Squad, and all of them said they don't work with surface pro. I would love some guidance on what I should do to fix this problem.

Chuwi surbook mini: Buying Touch screen for replacement

I'm looking for a touch screen to replace my broken one. The IPS panel looks ok, did not find any blank pixel.

I've been looking on all webstores I know (AliExpress, Bangood, Amazon, Ebay, etc) with no luck for the moment.

Also disassembled the tablet and doesn't seem difficult to replace, could post a complete review. But the problem is to find the proper touch screen.

So, can someone help me? Where can I buy a touch screen for Chuwi Surbook Mini?

Microsoft Surface Pro 7: Replaced my screen on wife's SP7 but now mic isn't working!

Hi - I had to replace my wife's screen for this device. Its very challenging but your guide was really useful! I was finally in the position to put the screen back on with adhesive but did a final test (I replaced the screen and as instructed damaged the wifi antenna so purchased a replacement of that too).

But now - the microphone(s) aren't working! Windows picks up the device but zero sound input. Any ideas or tips on this issue? I have seen the microphone cables for sale but not sure that will fix my issue.

Any help much appreciated!

Update (11/29/25)

Hi all - I figured it out. When I replaced the wifi areial part I did not re-connect the two microphone sensors - they are super small so I missed them.

If anyone else has the same issue feel free to reach out!

Microsoft Surface Pro 4: Replaced the screen with a Pro 5 and I can not get the touch to work

I have this Surface Pro 4 where the screen keeps flickering. I read from multiple sources that the issue is that this issue is a problem for Surface Pro 4s and that these sources suggest to replace it with the Surface Pro 5 screen instead.

I have tried this several times over the past three months (as in, I bought a screen off of amazon, didn't work, send it back, repeat like three times) and while I can get the screen itself to display content (at least two out of the three screens), I can never ever get the touch controller to work and at this point, I am thinking that the Surface Pro 4 Touch controller just doesn't work with these surface pro 5 or that these screens off of amazon are all bad quality.

So at this point, I'm not even sure how to get this screen replaced with touch control. Should I try my luck for a fourth time on amazon? Should I try and buy another touch controller?
