Windows 10: Silencing the Win11 upgrade message?

I upgraded my SSD from 512GB>1TB and my machine is now pushing Win11 on me when it did not do this before. I guess the restart and subsequent hardware detection change after cloning the SSD triggered it. Nonetheless I shut it down for now and told it to shush in Windows Update but is there a way to silence the startup prompt and then I can decide when I am ready? I know we could do this with 7/8.x>10 with Never10 (and yes, I DID check if Steve Gibson did it again; nope >_<) but I see nothing with 10>11 on upgradeable computers.

Windows 10: Why can't I turn back on my threat service?

So today, my windows 10 computer, mostly Windows security, decided to stop the threat service. The service turned off, and if I turn it on, it says "Unknown Error has occurred". When I first open windows security, it says the IT department has limited access to parts of windows security, and it says to contact the it department to help with this error. This is my personal computer, no school or work accounts have been signed in to this computer. My Microsoft account is a personal account, so I don't know what would be causing this error.

Pictures are included below, so if anybody has a answer, I would be happy to know

Windows 10: Can any version of Windows 10 run on one core

Hey @captainsnowball do you know if there is a version of Windows 10 that will run on a single core processor?

This is what’s happening:

Update 1/16/18:

Well I’ve installed windows 10 Pro 32bit on it now and it runs fine, faster than I thought it would run on a single core. I got all my softwares installed. One thing it can’t run at all is 3D graphics and Videos, is runs google earth for a couple minutes and then crash’s and video plays behind the audio. I was surprised how fast it boot though, 27 Seconds!

I realize 10 will be EOL in almost 1 year and some change and I'm sure someone will say I should stop pickinhg a fight to stay on 10. NO, I bought this machine with a bad SSD config because it had a factory license, and it could be upgraded.

At the time I got this laptop I had a few second thoughts about how long I will be waiting before I need to swap out the SSD for a 1TB drive; 2 big games did the job. I took the risk I will regret going 512GB for the coveted 10 license in 2021. Well, I need more SSD space. This one has the Dell OEM image on the drive since it came from Dell, but the partitioning is mostly "hidden" drive letter partitions for the recovery stuff (recovery partition, BIOS update backup holding etc).

When I buy a 1TB SSD and clone it will I have problems with it or am I looking at doing a backup and cloud recovery/bootable USB?

Windows 10: How to remove OS fat from 240GB SSD?

I have a Lat E7440 running Win10 Pro, which is frankly near the end of its practical life (had to reinstall Windows due to an audio issue, tired battery but works, 2013 HSW U, TPM 1.2 - Dell has no 2.0 upgrade path, so it’s a permanent 1.2 machine) so I’d much prefer to not put more money into a tired machine that’s walking the line between one you run it until it dies or give up. However, I am not opposed to another cheap SSD in the 512GB class until it gets to a point it’s just dead.

See here:

Is there anything I can remove that will reduce the load enough I can reasonably avoid replacing my SSD? Adding another drive is a dead end because Dell used mSATA in these laptops, and no mainstream manufacturer bothers now.

Here's my issue:

At one point I renamed a USB to SATA adapter to "USB to SATA" and now since then, all devices are named that if they are in the (only) USB port

example:

In this picture, my new USB drive is connected, (first time used) and named USB to SATA.

same for all other devices.

I'm guessing I named the USB port USB to SATA, but I don't know how to change it back to display the connected device's name

Thanks!
