Whirlpool Refrigerator WRS325FDA 0: Whirlpool Refrigerator Interior Lights Flickering

My Whirlpool WRS322FDAW01 is just over a year old and all of a sudden the interior lights on both the fridge side and the freezer side are strobing when the door is open. From what I've gathered the lights are LED and may have to be replaced in their entirety. Not sure. Please help!

Also, all of the lights on both sides of the fridge are in sync regarding the strobe effect. I'd even be ok with just shutting them off completely instead of the strobe. Any help will be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Whirlpool Refrigerator: ice maker not dumping ice

Whirlpool refrigerator model GZ25FSRXYY2

Our ice maker is no longer dumping the ice it makes, I think the ice maker mold thermostat may need to be replaced. This thermostat is N. O ( normally open ) and when cold from the ice in the mold it will close, which tells the motor to dump the ice. how can this be tested ? To check it with an ohm meter will do no good because it is N. O. and it has to be ice cold to close. If I remove it from the ice maker and cover it with ice will that make it cold enough to close so it can be tested with an ohm meter ?

Please email me direct at leewalt@powerbank.net because I may not be able to find this place again

Whirlpool Refrigerator: Refrigerator suddenly stopped cooling

Well I have a whirlpool refrigerator, with the double doors on top, and a slide out freezer door at the bottom. I noticed within the last day, or so. The refrigerator isn't cooling at all.

So I checked the freezer below, and everything is staying cold in the freezer, and I put my hand near the vent, at the back. I felt coolness, however air flow wasn't that strong.

At this point I was thinking it might be the fan not working. After that, I looked up the refrigerator by model number, and found you can run different test's, including checking the fan. So I did the fan test, and when I hit the button to turn the fan on. I heard something start running, and sounded normal. So it seems the fan is running, still I feel the air flow in the freezer should be much stronger. Being that the fan is located right where the freezer vent is.

After this, I decided to pop the cover off the front of the refrigerator vent, and behind the vent, is where the diffuser(?) is located. which at the time the door flap was open, in the state of allowing air flow into the refrigerator. However there was zero air flow, or even coolness back there.

So I'm now at the point of wondering... Why is the refrigerator getting zero air flow to it? I actually turned the refrigerator off, and the diffuser(?) closed the door, which I expected, and after turning it back on, it opened again. So that all seems to be working as intended.

I was reading of a possible blockage due to ice, and such. Which earlier I turned it off for 3-4 hours, after turning it back on, and waiting a little while. Nothing has changed the same problem is still happening. I plan to turn the fridge off overnight tonight, and see what happens in the morning.

So with all this said.. Anyone have any added idea's what might be my issue? I'm trying to fix this problem myself, as having someone out really isn't an option right now. My next step will be removing the freezer door, and getting access to the evaporator fan motor.

Anyways I figure I should include the model number of my refrigerator, for anyone curious. I would link to it on the whirlpool site, but I don't know the exact rules of posting. So I will just link the model number, and anyone can look it up on their site if needed.

Model# GX5SHDXVA00

Whirlpool Refrigerator: URGENT! Whirlpool refrigerator does not get cold at all?

Hi, I recently bought a used appliance set off craigslist. (Seller assured us they all functioned great, they were just upgrading.)

We just installed them, only to find out that the Whirlpool Refrigerator GS6NBEXRS01 isn't working properly.

- Yes, we moved the appliances properly, the fridge was moved with it standing upright, it was never placed on its side.

- Yes, we gave it well over 24 hours to cool, as the manual instructs. The temperature hasn't changed in it at all.

- It is a side by side fridge/freezer. Neither side cools off whatsoever.

- It is plugged in and is on. It lights up. You can hear the blower going.

Model # GS6NBEXRS01

We are desperate because we need a working fridge and do not have money for a service call. Thank you all for any help/advice you can give.

Update

Thank you both for your answers.

I don't know if it was cold when we got it. When we bought it, it was being stored in the man's garage. When we bought it, we also stored it for a couple months until now, when we finally got around to installing it.

I took off the back cover and the compressor was slightly warm. The compressor does kick on.

The condenser fan is running.

I removed the kick plate grill and confirmed that there is air flow.

I do not have a voltmeter, but I will try to pick one up shortly. Are there any other tests/diagnostics I can do myself besides this?

Coils are clean. Fans run. Compressor runs continuously. Ice forms on capillary tube before the evaporator coils. Evaporator coil does not get cold.

Can’t be start relay or capacitor as the compressor runs. I don’t think it could be a thermistor doesn’t it turn off the compressor.

I am looking for a common failure specific to this model unit. As listed in original question. This is a freezerless refrigerator. It is paired with an identical looking freezer.

Whirlpool Refrigerator WRX735SDHZ03: Whirlpool wrx735dhz03 Ice maker help

I have a Whirlpool refrigerator model wrx735dhz03 with a built in on the refrigerator door ice maker. I’ve had the refrigerator for just over two years and have now replaced the ice maker unit 3 times. The problem is always the same. It makes ice normally for about six months but then begins to form giant masses of ice in the bottom of the ice tray. These giant ice bergs are best described as cubes frozen into pools of water at the bottom of the ice tray. I was guessing the ice cube tray was being overfilled, or the ice storage drawer was not consistently cold and was allowing already formed ice to melt and refreeze. But, with each new ice maker I install the cycle starts over again… good for six months then ice bergs. And so on. I am using Whirlpool OEM W10882923 ice maker replacements.

I have also done the following: replaced the shutoff valve, measured the water pressure entering the refrigerator (which is at a consistent 35 to 40 psi). Interior of the refrigerator measures 38F on the top shelf and 32 on the bottom shelf.

What else should I be looking at? A thermostat somewhere? Electrical problem?

Any help is appreciated.

Whirlpool Refrigerator: Is my freezer temperature too unstable

I bought a new Whirlpool side by side refrigerator freezer. I noticed quickly that ice cream was soft and I put a thermometer data logger in the freezer and found the temp was cycling between about +5 and 25 F and averaging about 13 F (measured with door closed continually over ~ 20 hours). After about 5 visits from the Whirlpool refrigerator technician they concluded it was unrepairable and replaced it with a new unit. However the freezer on the new unit also seems to fluctuate a lot in temperature. I don't store a lot of food in the freezer, and the new unit cycles between -3 and +20 F every 90 minutes and averages about 10 F. I filled the freezer with pans of water to test it under "full" conditions. This helped somewhat, but it still cycles from about -4 to +12 F every 90 minutes and averages about 3.7 F. I called it in under warranty again and the technician's initial response was "they are all like this nowadays," which I did not accept and he is attempting further "repairs" My question - is this safe and acceptable performance for a freezer (especially a brand new one)? What is a reasonable average safe temp range and fluctuation with door closed for a properly functioning freezer?

Whirlpool Refrigerator: Ice maker fill tube freezing up WRX986SIHZ01

I have a WRX986SIHZ01 ice maker in the upper left side of the fridge, with ice in the door, that the fill tube freezes up and will not fill the tube tray to make ice. I have taken the ice maker out many times to thaw the tube and then it will work for a few days maybe a month and then just freeze up again and stop filling. I have replaced the tube heater coil, the inlet value and it keeps happening. It seems to happen when there is a blip in our power, I usually have to unplug the fridge. thaw out the tube, plug it back in and then go to code 38 and set it to Long Defrost cycle and then it will make ice for a month or so and then one day just stop making ice and the I find the tube is frozen again. I am not sure what else to try or do. We have one of those power meters, given to us free from State Farm, I think they are a bunch of BS, but when the app says that we have had a power spike or a blip in the service, the fill tube freezes again and I have to do the cycle over again and it will work for another month or so flawlessly. Seems to be a correlation to the power.

Whirlpool Refrigerator ET8CHM K 0: Whirlpool et8chmxkb04 defrosts for a while then I can't get it to work

Can someone please help. My whirpool fridge coils freeze up and the heater won’t turn on to thaw them. I replaced the thermostat, heater, timer twice, wiring harness, fan motor unit. It seems to work after I see a spark while connecting the heater wires temporarily (yeah I know it should be unplugged). It defrosts for a week or two (sometimes less) then I can't get it to work? Why would it work for a while after sparking? Thanks for any help I've been messing with this thing for a while now, years. Its a whirpool with the freezer on the top from 2004. The fridge is model number ET8CHMXKB04.
