Whirlpool Refrigerator: ticking sound from front pannel and ice dropping problem

Hello, good day.

My Whirlpool refrigerator is model side by side "S27DG RWW3 DF". Recently, there has been a ticking sound coming from the temperature indicator side. What could be the problem?

Also, when I want to activate the ice maker, it keeps turning on and off. This does not happen in the ice crusher mode, but in the full ice mode, the circuit turns on and off.

Whirlpool Refrigerator: Water on the floor and bottom of freezer has layer of ice

I google this and found a partial answer but not the whole thing. Our freezer has a thin layer of ice at the bottom. About once a day, there's a puddle of water on the floor outside the freezer, though it doesn't seem to be coming from under the refrigerator.

So, I'm not sure if those two things are related. I've read I should clear out the freezer and reset it, and some have said part of the freezer may be clogged. However, I'm not sure how this could cause the water on the floor, when no area under the freezer is wet. Thank you for any feedback.

Whirlpool Refrigerator: Whirlpool bottom freezer cool, not frozen, has frost clump.

A neighbor of mine has a french door Whirlpool fridge model WRF535SMBM00 that is currently only cooling the freezer to the same temperature as the fridge. There is a clump of frost about the size of a head of cauliflower (but not as thick - maybe 2") in the upper right hand corner of the freezer.

I am guessing this is a defrost problem, but looking at the service guide (https://www.scribd.com/document/34169130...) diagnosing what part of it is going bad does not seem approachable. Anyone have something I can recommend for her to try or I can do in a visit to possibly prevent having to call a maintenance worker to troubleshoot it professionally?

I am pretty handy with car and other household repairs, but last time I had to use a multimeter to try and figure one of these out I did not feel like I was measuring things right and did not resolve the issue.

Had a failed defrost thermostat and open inline fuse. Bought and installed a new complete factory freezer harness that included new thermostat and fuse.

Following a video for troubleshooting/tests, there is no voltage on the W & Or wires from the control board.

Per spec sheet, element ohms spot on. Don't see how that matters when no power is being sent to it.

Tried another control board, no difference.

Whirlpool Refrigerator: Is my freezer temperature too unstable

I bought a new Whirlpool side by side refrigerator freezer. I noticed quickly that ice cream was soft and I put a thermometer data logger in the freezer and found the temp was cycling between about +5 and 25 F and averaging about 13 F (measured with door closed continually over ~ 20 hours). After about 5 visits from the Whirlpool refrigerator technician they concluded it was unrepairable and replaced it with a new unit. However the freezer on the new unit also seems to fluctuate a lot in temperature. I don't store a lot of food in the freezer, and the new unit cycles between -3 and +20 F every 90 minutes and averages about 10 F. I filled the freezer with pans of water to test it under "full" conditions. This helped somewhat, but it still cycles from about -4 to +12 F every 90 minutes and averages about 3.7 F. I called it in under warranty again and the technician's initial response was "they are all like this nowadays," which I did not accept and he is attempting further "repairs" My question - is this safe and acceptable performance for a freezer (especially a brand new one)? What is a reasonable average safe temp range and fluctuation with door closed for a properly functioning freezer?

Whirlpool Refrigerator: Water shoots out of both solenoids when dispenser button is pressed

I removed the ice maker line from the inlet valve and when the water dispenser button is pressed, water comes out of the dispenser but also out of the ice maker port on the inlet valve. So far I have replaced the main inlet valve, the secondary inlet valve (which has the solenoids for the water and ice maker) and have also replaced the control board. All have been OEM parts from Whirlpool. What else can be making water come out of both solenoids when the water dispenser button is pressed? It is a Whirlpool WRX986SIHZ00.
Whirlpool Refrigerator: Intermittent Cooling Until Door is Opened

Side by side ED25QFXHW01 fridge that is intermittently cooling. When cooling it gets to normal temps (-5 freezer, 35 fresh) and may run normally for a day or more. Goes through defrost cycles too. But sometimes it stops running (evap fan and compressor fan) and temps rise. Many times when door is opened, it kicks to life and begins cooling again. If it doesn’t, cycling temp to off and back to normal temp setting will start it. Attempts to troubleshoot defrost timer or cooling control when it fails to cool are thwarted when it starts cooling when door is opened.

What is likely culprit?

Whirlpool Refrigerator WRS325FDA 0: Whirlpool Refrigerator Interior Lights Flickering

My Whirlpool WRS322FDAW01 is just over a year old and all of a sudden the interior lights on both the fridge side and the freezer side are strobing when the door is open. From what I've gathered the lights are LED and may have to be replaced in their entirety. Not sure. Please help!

Also, all of the lights on both sides of the fridge are in sync regarding the strobe effect. I'd even be ok with just shutting them off completely instead of the strobe. Any help will be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Whirlpool Refrigerator: Door ajar/lights/ice not working properly

I have a whirlpool fridge model Wrx988sibm03 that isn’t working properly. The ice maker works then doesn’t, the door ajar alarm goes off even when the doors are shut and the led lights sometimes don’t come on when the doors are open. I assumed it was the door switches and replaced them all. That solved the issue for about a day, probably just from being unplugged, but we are having the same issues again. Before I order a replacement board for $300 any other suggestions.
