<title><![CDATA[WD My Passport Ultra 2TB: Read arm is not moving after accidently dropping.]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>Any tips on how to get the arm moving again, it is a last ditch attempt after all else has seemingly failed. It was making a clicking sound, but now it is silent although the platter is spinning. The read arm is not engaging on the platter but is at the side and not stuck.</p>

<title><![CDATA[WD My Passport Ultra 1TB: When I plug drive in my entire computer starts freezing and lagging]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>Whenever I plug the drive-in the computer starts freezing and lagging the file explorer will not open without freezing, the entire computer becomes slow, and other applications won't respond, I've tested it on another computer where the drive shows up but the amount of storage on the drive doesn't show up and clicking on the drive leads to file explorer not responding, please help I have a lot of stuff on the drive that I didn't back up</p>

<title><![CDATA[Western Digital External Storage: Western Digital My Cloud software failure]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>My customer got a Western Digital 6TB external &quot;My Clould&quot; drive and put all her photos on it.  She was using the software included with the drive.  She got a notice to update the software and did.  Now the drive cannot be accessed.  Western digital could not help her.  The drive states on a Mac that &quot;The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer”.  I removed the drive from it's enclosure and tried it in another external enclosure with the same result.  I really do not want her to send it to someone like Drive Savers and spend over $1000 to get her photos back.  Any suggestions?</p>

<title><![CDATA[Western Digital WD Elements Desktop: How to put back HD rubber blocks?]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>Bummer (me)! <a href="/Guide/How+to+Shuck+a+WD+Elements+External+Hard+Drive/137646" target="_blank">Instructions</a> were great (thank you!!!), I was able to take the disk out and fix a loose power connector, but did not pay attention to the four rubber blocks, and now I can't figure out where and how each one of them goes into each corner of the HD, no matter what. Could some kind soul take a picture for each, and where they go, please? /</p>

Les <a href="/Guide/How+to+Shuck+a+WD+Elements+External+Hard+Drive/137646" target="_blank">instructions</a> étaient excellentes (merci ! !!), j'ai pu sortir le disque et réparer un connecteur d'alimentation desserré, mais je n'ai pas fait attention aux quatre blocs en caoutchouc, et maintenant je n'arrive pas à comprendre où et comment chacun d'entre eux s'insère dans chaque coin du disque dur, quoi qu'il arrive. Est-ce qu'une âme charitable pourrait prendre une photo de chacun d'entre eux et de leur emplacement, s'il vous plaît ?</p>

<title><![CDATA[Western Digital My Passport Ultra: Who is a reputable, but "affordable" recovery lab?]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>My external stopped being recognized by my pc, attempts at recovering files with software recovery programs have failed - because they cannot find the drive at all.  I cannot afford most of these Professional Labs, but my files are vital. Can anyone recommend a trusted repair/recovery lab that is affordable? or is there no such thing?</p>

<title><![CDATA[Western Digital My Passport: I plug my hard drive into my computer it always says scan and repair]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>Each time i plug my hard drive into my computer  it always says scan and repair i used to ignore it then one day i thought let me do it so while doing it it was on the second day still scanning then i accidentally hit the cable and it stopped scanning i decided to start again but when i plug into the computer it just makes a clicking sound and the white light flashes it goes off for few seconds and back on and i also noticed it's stopped vibrating is this an issue? i can see it appear in the computer but files cant be accessed. please help if you can thanks</p>

<title><![CDATA[Western Digital My Passport: Am I Replacing my current My Passport Ultra Correctly?]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>i need help verifying a replacement for my WD My Passport Ultra drive - S/N WXL1EB58EDV. I think it was a 1 tb drive.  My current drive  is about 2-3 year sold and is FULL (space ussue). I have been unsuccessful in doing any deletion of content to free up space. This will be my third drive to purchase. I just submitted a purchase from Best Buy of a new WD 2 TB My Passport External USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive with Encryption (latest model). I want to know if I am buying the correct replacement ext hard drive? if I will have the same USB-A connection to my old M/Soft computer? <title><![CDATA[Western Digital My Passport: Right clicking only provides properties, troubleshoot, remove, shortcu]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>I recently got a Western Digital my passport x 2tb (have part# lot# etc If needed) i hooked it to my usb 3.0 on my PC motherboard (ASRock b550 phantom gaming mobo). When connected I can only locate it inside devices and printers and it only allows me to right click and find properties troubleshoot remove device and create shortcut. I used diskpart on the CMD and it says it has 1862GB dyn and gpt are not checked. However it wont let me format or locate it under MY PC only thing that shows is my original 1tb HDD ? I have tried everything in the disk part (that I understand) without doing something that might ruin it. I know it works as I just had it hooked to my xbox and it downloaded a game no problem i hooked it to my pc and cleaned it with disk part and still nothing.</p>
