Water Gun: Why is my trigger coming back slowly once pulled?

Just some random cheap amazon water gun that has a moving slide that's supposed to move with each trigger pull. However that's malfunctioning because the trigger resets really slowly after each pull, meaning rapid fire shots don't cause the slide to move all the time. I've tried cleaning the pump out with soapy hot water but nothing's worked. Any fixes or should I just cut my losses and trash it?

Should probably also mention the only screws I could take off just removed the slide, no direct access to the pump. I'd rather keep the gun as it's a neat little prop, but it's not too expensive to throw away.

My nerf super soaker has been leaking and the water pressure has been very low. Every time I try to pump the water gun it squirts out a must or a tiny stream of water. Do you guys know how to fix this?

sorry water gun was tthe closest match

the crossbow works perfectly up to the npoint of firing, when the trigger is pulled the drawstring isnt released completely. My thoughts on it are maybe the drawsting has lost some tension as if i flick it after pull9ing the trigger it fires the dart, or the trigger is being obstructed internally. If anyone has experienced the same fault and repaired said fault i would appreciate thier comments thank you'italic text'bold text
