Maytag Bravos quiet series 300: Why will my washer not fill at beginning of cycle?

I have a 2009 Maytag Bravos Quiet Series 300 washing machine -- model number MVWB700VQ0. We just moved to a new house, and as far as I know it was working fine in the old house.

Now, the cycle starts and water sprays in the machine, then the water runs through the detergent cup. The machine spins to balance the load, and when the tub slows to fill, nothing happens. Doesn't matter what cycle or water temperature, no water is added to the main tub for about the first 8 minutes of the cycle. After that, it kicks in and starts adding water, washes, rinses and drains as normal. I'm not getting any error codes.

We checked hoses, water pressure and screens. Thought it might be the water intake valve, but since it's working at other stages in the cycle, it's not that. Does this mean I have a timing issue or something with the main computer component? Again, I've not had any problem that I was aware of until we moved it after it'd been in the same place for 7 years.

Thanks for your help!

Kenmore Washer: Lock keeps clicking and cycle wont start

It is a model 110.21102010 Kenmore washing machine. It worked fine for 1 load, then it stopped when trying to start the following load. The lock clicks on and off, and the lock light keeps flashing. Every other click it locks the lid successfully, and after maybe a dozen or so clicks, the lock light remains red and the lid is unlocked. All the connections are fine, nothing was changed from one load to the next (except the clothes), and I have read about a dozen similar help requests online and watched videos, and can't figure out what the issue could be. I have tried most suggestions I have found, short of replacing parts, which wouldnt make sense as it was doing what it was supposed to just a few minutes earlier. Has anyone seen this happen before?

Washing Machine: My Panasonic 13.5 kg top-load washing machine spins for only 2 minutes

Does anyone know how to fix this issue? My Panasonic 13.5 kg top-load washing machine spins for only 2 minutes, stops, and then starts refilling with water. After repeating this cycle 3 times, it throws a U13 error code.

This started after an overloaded wash. Even after removing the clothes (or running it completely empty), it keeps doing the exact same thing. I’ve already checked the suspension rods (it doesn't shake) and the safety switch, and both seem fine. Any ideas on what else could be wrong?

LG washing machine: Whining sound during wash cycle

WT7800HVA

Our washer makes this strange noise during the wash cycle, like a whining or squeaking sound. It almost sounds like rotating something on dry rubber.

The spin cycle is silent and it’s not when the washer is filling. I can duplicate the sound by grabbing the inner tub and rotating it in either direction.

I can’t see it being the felt pads on the outside of the tub because tilting the tub during rotation does change the sound.

Anyone have any ideas what it could be?

Thanks

GE Washing Machine: Anyone else have a stinky washer?

I bought my front load washer just under 2 years ago. I had been using another brand (that worked very well) for 10 years but stupidly gave the set away because I loved this set in the blue color. It started out fine but for the last 6 months we have to drain it after a few washes because it stinks. I’m talking cess pool stinky! Using a flashlight today we noticed toward the back there appears to be some build up. We don’t want to damage anything so we twisted a sock to try and get out what is in there. I’m really surprised because we are not animals. It’s not like we have muddy disgusting clothes going through the wash. I’m really not sure what to do. I do not shut the door to the washer, so I know that’s not the issue. Has anyone else had this issue and if so, how did you resolve it? Thank you in advance!
