My VU 4K 40inch TV fails to boot after the VU Logo screen. I'm unable to perform any operations using TV remote. How to restore to default factory settings using service mode. What is the steps to access service mode and provide information on the commands needed?

hello

my vu 40 inches tv is getting off and on automatically, this problem has came when i have inserted hdmi cable of cctv camera. i have reset the tv from the reset option which comes after presssing source button from remote.

My TV turns on with a black screen. Pressing any of the buttons on the remote will not show on the screen but the led near the power button blinks.

I have 50" LED TV. Last 15 days I am having peculiar problem. In morning when I switch 'ON' my TV then there is no picture at all. Black perfectly black ( No raster). However sound is OK. I receive sound if Set top box is ON. I checked HDMI connection and it is perfect. Without doing any thing, if I switch TV after 11.30 AM then picture comes and TV works perfectly all right. I switch OFF in noon time and evening again the picture comes perfectly all right. For last 15 days I am watching TV but morning time picture never comes alive.

I believe it has some thing to do with outside temperature. When Temperature rises then TV works fine. In mornings when temperature is low, the screen does not get any raster and no picture either.

Is there any temperature sensitive component or switching relay inside.

Phillips 42" LCD bought in 2009. Has started turning off and smelling like burnt plastic. I opened it and cleaned everything but the smell still happened when I tried it, only stronger. everything had looked fine when i looked inside except there where two copper coil type things on the upper left hand side of the back of TV and the top coil copper looked a little dark but they were under a black plastic grate type cover so it could have just looked darker because of that covering. The copper was in the spot on the tv where the smell seems to come from as well as the tv feeling pretty warm in that spot. What causes this if it is overheating? How much to repair it? Someone had said it could be the caps, not sure what those are or how much. Phillips seems to have overheating complaints on consumer reports but customer service can do nothing. What can be done for overheating? Only know I'm recovering from some painful injuries these last few months and its the worst time for my TV to go out in my bedroom as I needed it to put on some calming movies and songs for my children to be entertained calmly while they are in bed with me.

I was playing around with the service menu and wanted to see what the burn in menu option was for. Now it's stuck in a screen cycling between red, green, blue, black and white. How do I exit this mode?
