Bought new over two years ago as an unwanted present, my Zoom H6 is now 'dead'. I put it into storage with batteries removed. Now it shows no life, whether under battery or mains power. It tested fine when received - everything lit up and SD card worked. It was only used once to check that it had arrived intact..

New batteries in the power button red indicator light comes on whenever I fast forward it it'll turn a second and stop as with rewind but spokes turning but when I put a tape in it it will not turn the tape it'll start but stop like it's not enough power to turn it and play the tape. Why could that be and how do I fix it? please help...

I need a new touchpad board, not the silicone outer shield, but the actual board with the little diaphragm switches on it. Any ideas where I might get one of those for this Olympus VN-8100 PC digital voice recorder?

Zoom H1 Handy Recorder: One channel is not recording properly. Can I fix it?

The L channel input isn't working. It seems to be picking up some low levels signal of some sort every now and then, and on playback there appears to be an almost silent low level recording, but the usable recording is effectively mono (R channel only)

I've opened it to try and see if there is a loose connection, but there is none that I can see, which makes it seem like the problem might be electrical / with the logic board.

Is this fixable at all? And if so, how?

And, if not by me, then where could I send/take it to be repaired? (I'm based in London)

The recorder is no longer under warranty, but I really don't want to have to trash it / replace it with a new one. I'm positive there must be some way of repairing it. Really hoping the answer can be found in this helpful forum!

So, my device fell off a table while connected to a usb cable. After that it stopped working. From the picture of the zoom H6 internal parts, it look like the micro USB port is soldered directly onto the motherboard. However, the company does not manufacture repair/replacement parts. This seems like a difficult fix to me personally, but it doesn’t look impossible. How would one fix this?

Philips DPM8000: Why is the screen on my DPM frozen?

Since I dropped my DPM from about five inches, the screen is frozen. When I turn it off and on the device starts with the same screen. I switched the BA-slider and could listen to my recordings, so I believe the problem is caused by the display, right?

Hi, I’m feeling some tingling sensations when working with my zoom mic, can there be a grounding fault? Is there a way to check this with a voltmeter and if this is the case can it be fixed by me?
