In December I had bought a Moto G2 which I adored so much I showered with it and it fell in. I rescued it and it worked fine and everything, instead of drying it out properly I used it and put it on the charger overnight which must of fried the insides of it. RIP. Yesterday I went to the beach with my brand new Vodafone Smart Ultra 6 and what happens with my luck? (or stupidity)... It falls into the ocean and gets completely drowned . Great :) I immediately turned it off and let it sit in the sun for a few hours while I swam and enjoyed a few beers. I assumed it was dry so I turned it on and everything worked fine. When I got home I left it in rice overnight and then charged it up till around 50% and I took it with me on a walk. By the time I got home I wanted to charge it some more and now its not charging past 18%. When the phone is on it wont charge at all, but when I turn it off and plug in the charger it blinks the charging light. Does this need a shop fix? Or is there something I can do myself to make it charge? Help please ! My dad can't know about this yet, I have spent $550 on new phones in one month! And there isn't a way i'll be splashing out for another one

My screen is cracked on my phone, and I would like to repair it. Is it possible to do this myself? I have limited experience of doing such things but I am quite careful and patient with delicate things, and would rather not get a new phone if I can repair it. Thanks for your help!

I’ve got a VFD 700 which I plan to upgrade soon but I wanted to see what this issue is I’m experiencing and if anyone had this happen.

Once I pull the cover of the back off the phone and unscrew and take of the next cover which covers the motherboard and restart the phone the camera works on both sides (front and back).

But as soon as I put the phone back together again fully the phone seems to just say, nope the camera is not working. I’ve done this procedure 3 times and each time I get to the final step and it displays the same issue.

It seems as if something is shorting the motherboard when everything is tightened up but that’s my only guess. I can ‘t seem to find a direct fault.

If anyone can help regards this very edge case issue I’d greatly appreciate it.

Hi All, peace.

I bought a replacement touch screen for my Vodafone VDF 700 because mine was cracked. I bought it from here: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33006433....

I followed this screen tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Db9LFmD...

Everything seems to be fine, but when I startup the phone, it doesn’t recognize touch on the screen so I can’t actually open/unlock it. I tried going back to my old cracked screen, but the problem is the same.

When I connect the phone to an external keyboard, it recognizes the keyboard and I can use it. But, without the external keyboard, it does not recognize touch. I’m wondering which connection could be broken or improperly connected. Here are some pictures of the phone (below).

Can anyone advise?
