Meta Quest 2: Found a Quest on facebook with broken lens, can I repair it?

I found a cheap Quest 2 on facebook marketplace, but it has a cracked lens. As a person who has some pc building experience, but none in repairing whatsoever, would it be possible for me to repair it/ get it repaired?

while trying to charge my quest 2 I have noticed that it would not charge, and on further inspection, the left side of the usb c port was pushed in slightly so far that it can not be charged

hi i have a couple meta quest 2s and they both keep getting stuck on the initial set up and wont progress past installing update 1 of 2. I have tried hard reset, i have tried USB update through the meta site but nothing seems to be working does anyone have a clue as to what i can try next?

It turned on headset tracking without me choosing to do so, it has stick drift, and it turns on and off rapidly

I got some wd40 to help with a stick drift issue, but some of the wd40 got onto one of the controller buttons, and now it's not responding to my input. I'm still able to press the button, but it doesn't make the same sound compared to the rest of the buttons on my controllers when i press them. It's been quiet after i heard a crunching sound when i pressed it after the wd40 i put on the joysticks was able to dry.

What do i do? Am i able to fix it, or do i need a new controller all together?

Meta Quest 3S: not turning on after replacment of usb c port

Hello,

I'm looking for some advice regarding a Meta Quest 3s repair issue.

My headset was fully functional before the repair. I replaced the left speaker bracket/assembly and also repaired a damaged USB-C port after fall damage. Since completing the repair, the headset will no longer power on or charge.

I have already tried:

Multiple known-good USB-C cables and chargers
Long presses of the power button (30+ seconds)
Various button combinations involving the power button
Testing with another known-good battery
Checking the power button itself and its connection

The headset remains completely unresponsive:

No charging indicator
No LED activity
No display activity
No vibration or signs of life

At this point, the only thing I have left to do is start checking voltages and tracing power rails on the board.

Since the headset was working before the repair, I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions on what could have happened during the USB-C port replacement or speaker bracket replacement.

Are there any common failure points, fuses, protection circuits, damaged traces, disconnected flex cables, or components near the USB-C port that I should check first?

Additionally, I have carefully inspected all internal connections and flex cables multiple times. I found no signs of physical damage, torn cables, bent pins, improperly seated connectors, burn marks, corrosion, or damaged components. All connectors appear to be fully inserted and locked in place.

Visually, the motherboard and surrounding components look completely normal, with no obvious signs of shorts, overheating, or accidental damage during the repair process.

Any additional troubleshooting suggestions would be greatly appreciated before I start probing power rails.

Ok I turn it on everything is good untill it gets to the part where the game makers name shows up than goes to the tittle.screen before the tittle screen most of the time takes about 2 mins the screen goes dark for a sec than back to the ps5 home screen and says the psvr2 headset has been disconnected. Everytime it does this. I've taken ot apart cleaned everything still doing it why?

I went and smudged/messed up the eye tracking camera lens by trying to clean the surrounding dark blue plastic with asetone—and yes, in retrospect it was an idiot move, but I would like to try and fix it. Is there a way to clean the lens, or maybe replace it?

HTC Vive Focus 3: Rubber Nosepad Lightblocker for Face Cushion

Im looking to purchase just the detachable rubber light blocker on the face cushion of the Vive Focus 3. I have multiple headsets where this part has broken, but I do not want to buy an entirely new face cushion just to replace this small rubber part. No one online seems to sell this including iFixit so if anyone has a source for this part it would be SO helpful. Willing to buy in bulk.
