Sony Camcorder: No sound on playback - DCR-TRV330

At first the I just had a blue screen when trying to play my tapes. I disassembled the camcorder, reseated the ribbon cables and thoroughly cleaned the heads. I now have a picture but no sounds. I've connected the camcorder to a Mac with an IEEE1394 cable and can see the picture but no sound there either.

Is there a particular cable I should be looking at? Is this still related to something with the heads?

Thanks,

After removing a card from the slot I noticed that some of the upper left corner of the card had broken off. That card will no longer go into the slot, but a complete card will. However when that card is inserted it needs to be wiggled in order to get the card to lock in place.

How do I disassemble the camera in order to be able to remove the debris that I suspect is causing the trouble?

Sony Handycam HDR-XR500V: Glitchy Screen and Blue Screen when turned off. HELP

I received a Sony Handycam from my uncle a few days ago with a charger and it's battery. The camera wasn't turning on with the battery inside but when I removed the battery and plugged the charger in it would work fine. I checked the battery and bought a similar one from ebay. I plugged the new battery in and it worked fine (for just five minutes) The screen got glitchy it says HandyCam while glitching and when I turn the camera off the screen is blue. Please I need to fix this as there are a lot of footages I want from the camera and also want to use this camera.

Sony CCD-TR81: Viewfinder shows static screen; no settings except on display window

I just recently came to own a handycam and was able to confim it turns on. However, when trying to start operation, the viewfinder is not able to show any video, just a grey static screen like the old tvs when it would lose signal and you had to hit it a couple of times (I didnt do that for this camera).

Before attempting to open everything and having to leave a disassembled handycam with no replacement parts, I wanted to ask to see if anyone had any answers or suggestions on where to start. I have not put in a vhs tape yet, but that is my next attempt. Thanks!
