Victrola Empire Record Player: Upright Victrola Record Player Gets No Power- SOLVED

Thanks for if you can help me. I bought beautiful upright Victrola record player from an antique store. It was working but after a week or so it wouldn't turn on. I'm not especially handy but like to tinker. I couldn't see any obvious electrical problem or at least my first initial trouble shooting ideas didn't help.

What happened was that the orginal wires connecting the power adapter to the rest of the electronic got disconnected some how. In my earlier fiddling I accidentelly switched the red and black wires. With the help of the recommended voltometer a friend was able to help me diagnose the mistake (and tell me how a voltometer basically works.).

Thank everyone so much. It was a silly mistake but fun to figure out (once it was figured out).

Victrola Empire Record Player: My turntable is slow

Hi all I've had my turntable now for about 2 years, hardly used it tbh. I've more recently been using it but it's has started being slow. I have took the table off cleand the belt and and removed any excess grease and it's perfect for about 5 mins and then it going slow again. Any ideas... maybe the belt ?

Victrola Empire Record Player: Powers up but no output(s)

Unit powers up but none of the media's are functioning. TT, no spin, radio no out put, CD won't open, etc. Where to start trouble shooting?

Victrola Record Player: Wires and needle out

So I’m not sure if someone has asked but my dog crashed into my record player pretty hard though he is ok. Now the needle thing that has the wires has come out. Is there a way to repair that?

Victrola VTA-270B turntable not working, motor is not turning and not sure what size Belt it takes. What are the items I should test? All the other items work Great...BT, Radio, and CD.

Victrola Empire Record Player: Plugged my 110v Victrola Retro 50s Turn table to 220v outlet

Sorry I couldn't find the exact model here but I have a new victrola 50's retro 3-speed bluetooth turntable which was accidentally plugged into a 220v outlet, it's a 110v item. I brought it to an electrician and the electrician said the transistor was burned and needs to be replaced. However he could not read what was written in it to determine what model transistor I need. The neighboring transistors are either J6 or Y2. I'm not from the US so there is no way for me to get replacement parts, replace the item or get it refunded. Can anyone help? I need to be sure if it's a J6 or or Y2 transistor. The board btw is a LEETACE606D.
