Vankyo v7000 (Yg551): Why is there a big brown/yellow/black blob on Vankyo projector screen?

The Blob is here. Started off as a speck and it continues growing. I received this projector from a friend and it's always been fine but recently it's been dimming out (not sure if that means I need a new bulb?) aaand started forming a blob in the corner of the screen. I ain't too tech savvy, but I'd hate to buy a whole new projector if I'm able to fix it myself or order parts for someone else to fix. Picture included..any suggestions or solutions greatly appreciated.

Vankyo Projector: Why does my projector suddenly stops displaying anything?

When I turn on my projector, it sometimes works fine initially but after a while, the brightness suddenly drops within 2–3 seconds, leaving the screen blank. On other occasions, the problem is present right from the start—there’s no display even when I turn it on for the first time. Sometimes, I can resolve the issue by turning it off and back on, but other times I have to wait—either keeping it running with no image or turning it off for a while before restarting. Over time, this issue has become more frequent.

What could be causing this problem, and is it fixable?

Vankyo Leisure 470 projector: How do I open the body of my Vankyo projector?

I dropped my Vankyo Leisure 470 projector onto its lens. It seems like it knocked the lens out of its focus track. It is angled back into the body and the focus no longer spins. It seems like if I could get the body open, I could pop it back into place, but I can’t seem to get in. I’ve unscrewed every screw from the bottom, and the back left corner has some give, but the others aren’t budging. What do I try next?

Vankyo v7000 (Yg551): How to open device?

How do I open the device? My cats knocked the projector off it's place holder and the focus doesn't work as it should. it seems like the lens was knocked out of its focus track and no longer spins unless I hold it for a long time. But it never gets the focus right. If I could get the body open, I could pop it back into place but I don't know where to start.

Thank you!
