Valve Index Headset: Headset completely lacking sound, Valve support says I can repair it?

Long story short, something about my HMD is wrong. Valve support won't help me much further than "you bought it from a 3rd party seller so we won't give you a new one but you can buy another one or go to iFixIt." The HMD does not produce sound. Not via the speakers nor the 3.5mm jack. The problem persists between computers, where windows says it is sending sound, but the headset does not receive it. What could I even replace to fix this problem? is it possible it's really just the cable and not the HMD?

Valve Index Headset: Audio silent after eyetube repair--what cable might be loose?

So the headset is working visually but I no longer have sound. I tried some of the obvious troubleshooting steps--making sure the output is set to the headset in both SteamVR and windows, deleting and re-scanning the entry in device manager, trying to update drivers, etc. But I must have clearly made a slip in repairing, and I'd just like to know what I need to do to make it right. Thanks!

Valve Index Headset: Can the microphone be replaced/fixed?

I just recently bought a used Valve Index. Despite what I try I can’t seem to get the mic to work at all. I’ve listen to multiple online forums and videos and NOTHING has worked. I’ve made sure it wasn’t muted anywhere, this is including SteamVR and the control panel. Windows picks up the mic and displays it at the default but the mic just doesn’t work. Even plugging in my regular gaming headset to the Index, the mic from my gaming headset doesn’t get picked up but I can hear the sounds. Can the Valve Index mic be replaced or fixed? Where would I take it? Can I do it myself?

I would like to know what component/cable gives sound to the ear piece. The teardown guides are vague on this. It seems to me very likely that I did not do something properly during the reassembly.
Valve Index Headset: No Audio, or audio without vision - hardware problem?

So I have my Valve Index for a while although use it very rarely and it never had any issues and was never abused dropped etc.

Valve Support don't want to help me anymore and send very vague and random tips and tricks I already saw everywhere on the Internet.

From some time ago it started to behave strange - when I open SteamVR randomly I get a session in which I hear sound but, there is no vision - just grey color. Then after Restart Headset function the vision comes back but there is no sound.

You can believe me I did everything I can to my PC, drivers, bios setups, different ports, registry keys, windows settings - all of it.

I ordered original tether cable from Valve - did not change anything, therefore I assume it must be Headset itself.

Any idea why there can be randomly a session with audio but no vision, or more often a session with vision but no sound at all?

I'm desperate enough to open up this whole thing and start investigating everything on the PCBs but if anyone has any clue where to start that would be great! Thanks!

EDIT:
Does it make sense for me to upload some SteamVR system log dumps?
If so:
1. Here is a log file where after restart I had sound without vision: https://files.catbox.moe/a6yoer.txt
2. And here when I restarted above session and got vision back, without audio, and played a bit with some game: https://files.catbox.moe/kgkhhp.txt

Valve Index Headset: Right lens of headset turns on but only shows a black screen

I bought my index second hand and its out of warrenty according to the friend I got it from. The first few weeks everything was working perfectly fine and I havent been rough with it. However, the right side of my index suddenly stopped showing video and flickered twice during a play session in vrchat one day and now only shows a black screen. The left side still works and when I start the headset up, the right side starts out white then has a rainbow of pixels before turning black. I've already tried a new trident cable and tether but the problem persists. I just want to confirm that it's the eye tube itself that needs to be replaced before buying anything unnecessarily so I can repair it and have proper vision again!
