V-Moda Crossfade Wireless Headphones: No sound from left ear.

The left wire on my headphones may have gotten pulled a bit as I am no longer able to get sound from the left side. Is this something that is repairable or worth opening them up and taking a look? These are out of the manufacturers warranty.

V-Moda Crossfade Wireless Headphones: Intermittent signal to battery side V-Moda Wireless

Dear Fellows of the Fixit Community

So I’ve just recently had this issue, more than likely due to having dropped these by mistake.

When playing music via wireless eventually the signal to the headphone with the battery inside would cut out but the other would still continue to play.

I had tested them with a wire to the computer however there was no problem full range of sound for a long time.

Opening this I had thought there would be an issue with the connection of the cables, that may be one of them disconnected from the board.

Put it back together no problem then again the same problem.

Then I had noticed this break in the cable.

In your wise experience should i just pull the cable back inside a bit, soulder the spot in question, then after cold apply some plastic glue with the hot glue gun?.

Kind Regards

AP

V-Moda Crossfade Wireless Headphones: Makes noise when turned off

Not sure when this started, but when I turn off my headphones while they have any amount of charge left in them, the right-side speaker plays a static sound until the battery dies. My guess is that some wire got crossed and the battery gets a direct link to the speaker when the switch is in the off position, does anyone have a fix?

V-Moda Crossfade Wireless Headphones: short circuit from water damage; does not charge

Got caught in heavy rain with my headphones on and didn’t think much of it bc i’m an idiot. They continued to function without issue for a few days (no problems with playback or bluetooth pairing they honestly seemed fine, they also still work when using the cable for a wired connection) but once the battery started to get low i discovered that they would not charge at all. additionally the wires connecting the earcups to the headband quickly became very hot whenever i attempted to charge the battery, still without success. regular phone repair stores have refused to touch them and i really don’t wanna buy new ones, all advice is appreciated!
