UN82RU9000FX2A: Will not respond to remote except power and volume.

The TV takes a long time to turn itself off or turn itself on. I am not sure if that’s in relation to the problem, but the general issue is that the TV will only power on and off and change volume via remote. A replacement remote has been purchased, and it responds in the same way. The TV shows no visible volume bar when it changes. I’m not sure which part would be the best to replace, does anyone have advice?
