Turtle Beach Ear Force XO Four: Help with splicing Turtle Beach wire

My turtle beach is broken at the jack so I decided to try and splice it with the jack from a working pair of headphones, but I'm completely confused. The turtle beach seems to have 4 wires (red, green, copper, and a red/green twist that had a copper outer layer that I untwisted) and the one I wanted to splice it to seems to have 5 wires (blue, green, red/copper twist, green/copper twist, and solid red with a copper outer layer) so I don't know where to go from here. I took some pictures to show what I mean. Help is much appreciated.

Turtle beach:

Wire I'm trying to splice to:

Turtle Beach Ear Force XO Four: Why isn't my mic working? (Xbox One)

I got my turtle beach earforce XO-Fours while I still had my wireless controller, and everything was great. Soon, however, my controller broke and the only new one I could buy was a wired afterglow with no audio jack, just the plug for the actual mic (no two prongs for adapter). All was well for a little while, until the mic would start making random really loud buzzing, it seemed like being in a certain position caused it. I was still able to talk through all of it, though, until today. My mic continued to make extremely annoying buzzing until it suddenly stopped and my mic could no longer pick up sound. Please help
