I’ve taken the housing apart several times throughout the years and ran the knob back and forth to try to clear this up, but I’m fed up and want to fix it for real now.

I couldn’t find anything here, but doing some digging I think I found an answer, and wanted to share it at the very least: cleaning the potentiometer. Other suggestions are welcome still!
