Turntable: My record player makes a scratching noise when the platter spins?

My record player makes a scratching noise when the platter spins. The sound seems to come from the spindle in the middle. When I slightly pull the spindle to the left, the scratching stops, but when I let go it starts again. This makes me think the spindle or platter might be rubbing against something inside, and I don’t know how to fix it.

Crosley CR 78CD: How can I get it to power on?

Barely used, but is a 2003 manufactured model. Can’t get it to power on at all. Never used turntable. Used cassette, cd, and radio with no prior issues. The cord is in good shape. Unplugged when not in use. What steps can I take myself to try and fix? Took the bottom cover off, but can’t see how to get further inside as appears to all be laminated wood and no other openings.

I tried looking up the manual but i didn't find anything about this problem there. Thanks for the help.

Reloop RP-4000 M3D: Issues with Spindle and Friction After Disassembling Reloop RP4000 MK2

Hello,

I have a second-hand Reloop RP4000 MK2 turntable that wasn’t spinning consistently; it slightly slows down with each rotation. I thought it might be the problem described here, so I followed your instructions.

I opened it up, expecting to find a desoldered coil, but that wasn’t the case. However, I did notice some friction at the spindle, but I couldn’t figure out how to fix this issue. I put everything back together, and since then, the slowdown with each rotation has become even more pronounced.

Do you think I might have bent the spindle when removing it, and that this is why the friction has increased? I’m looking for help, but I’m not sure where to find it.
