Barreto Trencher E718MTH4S 2016: How fast will it dig a 6 inch deep trench in sandy soil?

I need to dig 850ft of shallow trench in sandy soil, but the top layer is compacted by walking on it (garden aisles in a community garden). We'll be laying flexible pipe in it at only a depth of 6 inches or so. How long might expect this to take? No rocks at all.

Ground Hog Trencher T4HS18 2017: Our trencher quits running

Customer came in saying it wouldn't "dig" and belts were just spinning. Which is suspect because its rented a few times since replacing the belts about a month ago. Maybe I'm missing something, how do I tension the belts?

Couldn't find the RTK Model for this question but i have a track 36" trencher that doesn't engage for forward and backward drive. Everything else works, can anyone help me.... i wanna know if its something easy i can fix before looking for a tech (which are tough to find around here).
