Toyota Highlander: Transmission whine, but no issues other than sound

I bought a 2018 Highlander, 2WD, 124k miles and it has whine sound from transmission when throttling. It's a known bulletin from Toyota about this transmission, and the sound, but no recall available. Anyways, the transmission shifts smooth, no issues other than the whine sound upon throttle, and when I changed the trans. fluid it was noted that no metallic particles found, looked clean. I also plan to change this fluid every 40k miles just to be safe. Any thoughts how long I can go ? How concerned should I be? I did research, seems like many can achieve very high mileage with this issue. But also a Toyota Technician at a dealer recommended a new transmission - but I think thats what dealerships do.

My toyota highlander shows the transmission fluid light on. I turned off the car, and topped it with fluids. Later, the car started misfiring. The performance has reduced. I think the transmission is faulty. Any help or possible solutions, Can it be fixed or do i need a new transmission? What could have possibly caused this problem?

2014-2019 Toyota Highlander: Toyota Highlander charging system acting strange

I put a voltmeter on a 2017 Highlander that I just bought. The readings don’t make any sense.

When it is idling in park, the voltage is 14.6V.
If I am idling in Drive, it is 12.4V. RPM ~ 700. If I give it a little gas to bring the RPMs back to 1000 it does not change back to 14.6V where it was in park.
When I am driving, the voltage is 12.4V. RPM can be anything.
If I take my foot off the gas pedal while I am driving, it goes back to 14.6V.
That can't be right.

I expect it to be in the 14V range while driving and possibly to decrease if the RPMs fell as in when I took my foot off the gas.

I have checked the belt and it is in good condition and tight. There is no noise that would indicate it is slipping.

Can anyone explain this to me, or is there a problem I can’t explain.
