Slinky: How to untangle a slinky as fast as it got tangled

I know you can work the tangle to the end (normally). Mine is welded closed at the end, so that’s just moving the problem to a new part of the slinky… But also, it made me ask the question I’ve always wondered: What is the trick to UNDO the original tangle. After all, if it’s that quick to tangle, it must be undo-able in 1 slick little move…

Furby: Furby Boom's not moving much and goes to sleep after 1 minute

My daughter's Furby just started to make this cracking noise with every word it says. Also the Furby's moving very quietly and not moving back and forward (at all).

Usually when the Furby goes to sleep, it will bend forward. Also the its ears (sometimes) are not moving forward when going to sleep.

When the Furby is awake, it will last like 1 minute and its eyes will light off (and will go to sleep). It will only wake up if I shake it well.

I also noticed that will not react fast/properly when touching him.

The reset (or the change of personality mode which only went right once) won't help.

I kindly ask for help. I also speak Dutch, Spanish and Italian.

Thanx!

Tamagotchi: Tamagotchi Paradise - Missing Spring

I took apart my Tamagotchi Paradise to replace the face plate and stupidly dropped the knob.

The small spring fell out of it and disappeared on my floor.

I'm thinking of getting a ballpoint pen spring (which will likely be too narrow) and cutting it down to size to replace it.

Does anyone know where I can buy a replacement spring?

The spring is integral for performing clicks with the knob which is the only way to access Tama Labs for the store and Tama Sitter and Settings.

NOTE: The spring that is missing is NOT related to the battery. It's only function is for knob clicks. The knob is only available on the Tamagotchi Paradise.

Tiger Furby 1998: 1998 Furby Motor / Gears Seizing (?) after jump, anybody know a fix?

Hey! I recently purchased a NIB 1998 Snow Leopard Furby (WT code), which did not work out of the box. I anticipated a relatively simple jumpstart (the typical methods of whacking the battery compartment or skinning it & spinning the black horizontal gear with a screwdriver, if the first thing didn't work). While spinning the gear did eventually wake it up, it seems like something's causing either the gears or the motor to get stuck at random, particularly when it's flipped upside down. I dabbed a very small amount of 3-in-1 all-temp silicone lubricant (which shouldn't damage the plastic) on the teeth of the gears (not the shafts, since one of the very few sources I could find said not to do this) with a cotton swab, and that didn't seem to have an effect on the seizing (though I'm not sure if I used enough). I noticed when I was initially spinning the gear, it would catch and become hard to spin for a moment, then return to normal once slightly adjusted. Could the issue be that one of the gears is defective, is the motor the problem, or could it be something like a corroded wire / some other kind of disconnect? I know these guys are prone to motor issues, especially after being dormant for as long as this one, but to me it sounds like that's working fine (everything else functions as intended when it's not frozen). I took care not to deform or otherwise damage the gear, so I don't think that could have caused it. I couldn't find this issue talked about anywhere, and I'm not very familiar with Furbys or small hardware as a whole, so I figured I'd give iFixit a shot. Any advice is appreciated! :]

Here's a video with an example of the sound it makes when it gets stuck:

I don't let it do this for longer than about 20 seconds at a time, for fear of it overheating; nothing stops it except for removing the batteries.

Hello friends, so my nephews tiny tot driving wheels horn has been jammed into the wheel (halfway, but stuck) it has the toy on repeat when it is pushed hard and is also happening randomly, with movement of the toy.

So i removed the 11 screws for the casing, removed casing, removed the green lever thingy, im pretty sure it was only held in with one screw.

I was called for help so i had to put the toy down for a while.

When i came back i found a piece that i did not notice.

A little white piece of plastic with a screw hole on one end, a metal clip with 4 prongs on the other & some H shaped leg/brace?

I have looked all over this toy to try find its place but i am STUMPED!

So.

I am now thinking it was held by the same screw that I removed from the green lever.

Perhaps it was under the lever and i didnt see it? And its purpose is to hold the black and red wires in place/ out of the way..?

( edit )

I am pretty sure it belongs here, as in photo 4.

Any help will be much appreciated!

Also going to try unstick the horn button now.

Tamagotchi: Disconnected Wires; Soldering Necessary?

Hello! I've taken my old Tamagotchi apart for repairs, but it seems one of the little wires popped off the... speaker cell? The little round part that is not the battery. Do I need to solder it back on? If yes, what soldering kit should I get? I know I would need something with an extremely small tip, but I have never soldered anything before. Is there a certain temperature to use?
