Tower Fan: It has 124V at the circuit but still not turning on

I tested my tower fan with a voltage meter and confirmed that it is receiving 124 volts. Despite this, the fan still does not turn on. I’ve double-checked the power source and connections, and everything seems fine.

Has anyone experienced something similar or can suggest what might be causing this issue? Any advice on troubleshooting or possible internal faults would be appreciated.

The rapid clicking noise started after a routine cleaning. I always air dry for 24hrs after a cleaning so I know it wasn't a moisture problem. I cleaned it again, rinsed thoroughly, still clicking. I run it anyway but am concerned that the noise indicates a problem.

Sharper Image model# SI830. Pushing power button does nothing. Tried taking it apart but cannon see any obvious thing to do, no blown fuse or anything I can identify by taking bottom cover off.

Lasko 4910: Trying to fix a Lasko Tower Fan, Model 4920

The fan now operates only on the "LOW" Speed setting. Trying to select "MEDIUM" or "HIGH" from the keypad or remote control has no effect. In fact, the Remote Control unit doesn't seem to function at all. (and yes, I did check the batteries ;->)

Here is the information on the name plate:

120 VAC, 60 hz, 1.0 Amp

Model: 4920

I reached out to Lasko's online customer support and received the following reply:

"Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, Encompass has no Service Parts or Literature available for your model. We apologize for any inconvenience".

Does anyone out there have any ideas about how to troubleshoot & fix this item? THANKS!

How can I tell if the problem is the fuse? Is there “a tell” that the problem is the motor or circuit board before searching for fuses? For the 1st micro second it moves an inch like it’s getting power.

Tower fan: Doesn't act like it has any power at all

So I got a fan that didn't work for free to fiddle with and I've got it taken apart and it has power, I used a multimeter and connecting a couple of wire to the leads via solder I was able to get the different functions to work, I'm new to using one but the multimeter stayed at 0. Anyways I was wondering what it could be or if I could just hard wire the high and low settings to an external switch.

Holmes tower fan: How to put this back together again?

I bought this at a rummage sale for $8 and I was trying to take the front part off to clean it out and the base fell out. What happened was all of these parts fell out and I have tried to put it together several times. Can someone walk me through and show me how to put this together again or this is food for the trash can? It came with no instruction manual and I looked up the manual on the internet and it shows me nothing on how to put this back together again. It’s a Holmes Oscillating Tower Fan 32 Inch with Remote Control, HT38R-U. I have included pictures. Thank you.

When I turn the fan on and have the rotation switch on as well the fan won't rotate.

The fan will not rotate even though both the rotation and fan switches are on.
