Won't turn on when I try to turn it on. But if I disconnect from outlet and then plug it in,the power indicater lights up without me touching it and it goes out after 5 seconds

Hi all, I hadn’t used my Toshiba BDX3200KY in a while and just went to turn it on, but it will not power up.

I tested with remote, yet not working. I picked it up and heard a rattle, then proceeded to open the device up and look for anything unusual. I noticed something on the power board, which I will include. I’m not at all versed with fixing electronics, but Interested to learn and see if this is possible to fix.

Toshiba SD4100: remote control won't work with good batteries

I used the repeat feature on the remote and, after the first repeat, I couldn't get it to stop. I was able to get to the menu but then the selection hi-light continue scrolling thru the entire title list. I couldn't switch the unit off with the remote; none of the remote's functions were working. The DVD player was functional but not the remote; there aren't any other controls, one has to use the remote! Is there some sort of reset for the remote? The batteries are fresh. Thanks
