Breville BOV800XL toaster oven: Fixing the start button

Pressing the start button on my Breville BOV800XL toaster oven also triggers the convection button, and sometimes the Fahrenheit/Centigrade button, instead of turning on. I have to press the button many times, carefully, before the cycle actually begins.

I suspect the button is flexing the PCB behind the control panel and display.

How do I get the cover off, and how could I fix this?

Breville BOV800XL toaster oven: Convection fan hums but doesn't turn.

The convection fan isn’t turning when trying to use the convection setting on the Breville toaster oven. Motor hums (60 Hz I believe) when trying to turn. Everything else works fine. Heating elements, display, etc.

Convection fan turns freely by blowing pressurized air across blades with power off or convection setting off. The fan will continue to spin for 30 seconds or more.

If the fan is spun initially and the convection function is then turned on, the fan quickly slows and stops.

Breville BOV800XL toaster oven: Power but no heat - thermal fuse seems to be ok

Our toaster oven turns on and lights up but does not get hot. After some research I thought it might be the thermal fuse but after taking the dang thing apart the fuse seems to be fine when tested with a multi meter. So maybe it’s the heating elements but those are expensive and tough to get to. Before investing time and money anybody have any ideas about how to test if it is the heating elements? I mean, would they all go out at the same time? Other thoughts about problem.

Breville BOV800XL toaster oven: Breville Smart Oven Timer Will Only Set 9 minutes At a Time

I have a Breville Smart Oven (BOV845) and I have it on the bake setting. On this setting, the timer will not go past 9 minutes so I'm constantly having to add 9 minutes to cook the full cycle for whatever I'm making. As you can imagine, this is an enormous pain. Breville support says that the warranty has lapsed and they cannot troubleshoot this problem over the phone. I would need to send it back for repairs to the tune of $140 (the customer support agent was gracious enough to offer 24 cents off). I've searched online and have found answers to many issues with this oven but not the one I need. So here I am, hoping someone here has the knowledge to help me fix this issue since I can't seem to figure it out. Thank you so much in advance, I look forward to (hopefully) having a solution to this soon!

**I have done the basics of resetting the oven by unplugging/plugging back in and checking the outlet.

Toaster Oven: Temperature knob element fear

My toaster oven stopped working a while ago so I took it apart hoping to simply find a loose/damaged wire. While fiddling with it, I got it to start working again, but I noticed this part of the temperature control knob getting red-hot. Is that how they’re supposed to work?
