I completely dissembled my used Wolf toaster (ICBWGTR102S-C) and cleaned it. The only thing I didn't make note of is where the small green temperature sensor is meant to be placed. It's the one connected to the top of the circuit board , with white wires, on the lever end. It is inserted in a small sleeve.

Toaster: Why is my toaster toasting the sides of bread unevenly?

Hello.

I toasted a single piece of toast in the left side slot and it toasted unevenly. I had the digital setting on Level 4, which is dark. I later toasted a single piece of bread in the right side slot and it did the same thing. that is, one side was Level 3 and one was Level 4. The Brand Name is DCLINA. It's the two-slice toaster by Drew Barrymore. The trademark is "Beautiful" The Model No. is TA1741-UL.

I did look at the heating elements on each side and they (all four) seem to working well. I also emptied the crumb tray.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Oster Toaster TSSTTRJB29S: Toaster will not stay down; only 2 of 4 panels heat when forced down.

Our toaster recently stopped toasting and I am hoping that I can fix it rather than sending it to a landfill and buying a new one.

It doesn't engage at all to stay down when you press down the lever. If you force it to stay down, it will heat up the 2 inner panels, but the 2 outer panels remains cold. So I suppose you could technically manually toast one side of two slices of bread this way. It is sort of like having the bagel button and cancel button both held down - but of course they aren't.

I did figure out how to get it apart, but I am pretty new at diagnosing this stuff and don't see anything obviously wrong to me.

I was hoping that maybe the description of that problem would mean something specific enough for someone here to point me in the right direction.

Toaster: How do I remove the cover on a Hamilton Beach 22505 toaster?

The lever does not stay down & thought I'd try disassembling & cleaning. There is one screw & two push to release tabs on the bottom at the same end as the lever.
Toaster: 1950s GE Toaster tray doesn't stay down--science needed!

Hello Hello,

I've got a 1950s GE toaster that I found, and have been refurbishing in my spare time.

I've gotten everything to work except that the tray won't actually stay down. I'm guessing it might be a solenoid problem. But here's the thing: I have no idea how to test whether my solenoid is working or not, as I know not much about how an electromagnetic field should behave in various states.

When my toaster is actually on, what readings should I be getting on my multimeter which would inform me whether my solenoid is still working? Where should the prongs of my multimeter actually be? Am I going hot wire-ground? That's how you do it in a car, but how do you do it in a toaster! Holy smokes!

Here a some pictures of a the toaster in question when opened up, Apologies for the poor quality. The first image is front facing, the second one if taken from below, with a clear view of the solenoid.
