Toaster: Small blue flash when toaster is finished

I just bought a 2nd hand toaster, it toasts fine, but there is often a little blue flash as it finishes, or if I press the cancel button. I’m not sure if this is a problem or not, I have had a couple of other devices ( a heater and a kettle) that did the same thing, so is it a problem?

Also, I’ve bought 2nd hand electrical stuff before from this shop, and they usually have a “passed safety testing” sticker, but this item doesn’t, is that a worry?

The blue flash is coming from inside the toaster, and no I don’t have DMM.

I completely dissembled my used Wolf toaster (ICBWGTR102S-C) and cleaned it. The only thing I didn't make note of is where the small green temperature sensor is meant to be placed. It's the one connected to the top of the circuit board , with white wires, on the lever end. It is inserted in a small sleeve.

My toaster, just past warranty, won't toast any more because the lever won't stay down. I know it's cheap, but I don't want to throw away what used to work fine.

Hello.

I toasted a single piece of toast in the left side slot and it toasted unevenly. I had the digital setting on Level 4, which is dark. I later toasted a single piece of bread in the right side slot and it did the same thing. that is, one side was Level 3 and one was Level 4. The Brand Name is DCLINA. It's the two-slice toaster by Drew Barrymore. The trademark is "Beautiful" The Model No. is TA1741-UL.

I did look at the heating elements on each side and they (all four) seem to working well. I also emptied the crumb tray.

Toaster: Where do I find replacement screws?

I have a West Bend, model 3234E toaster and the screw is missing that holds the variable browning control slide in place. Is there a business where I can order the correct sized screw to fix this?

Cuisinart CPT-140BK: Red numbers are flickering. Is this dangerous to use?

Over ten years old. We use it occasionally, not heavily. The red lighted number started to flicker on one side, and now both numbers are flickering. Is it safe to keep using it? Spousal unit doesn't want to buy a new one; I think a toaster is less expensive than recovering from a house fire. : )

Hi, I tried to learn a new skill with repairing something so I bought a Magimix Vision Toaster - apparently been dropped. Looked at PCB and then decided to replace control button PCB however it's still not working.

Heating element is fine but just can't get it to stay down.

Our toaster recently stopped toasting and I am hoping that I can fix it rather than sending it to a landfill and buying a new one.

It doesn't engage at all to stay down when you press down the lever. If you force it to stay down, it will heat up the 2 inner panels, but the 2 outer panels remains cold. So I suppose you could technically manually toast one side of two slices of bread this way. It is sort of like having the bagel button and cancel button both held down - but of course they aren't.

I did figure out how to get it apart, but I am pretty new at diagnosing this stuff and don't see anything obviously wrong to me.

I was hoping that maybe the description of that problem would mean something specific enough for someone here to point me in the right direction.

Toaster: How do I remove the cover on a Hamilton Beach 22505 toaster?

The lever does not stay down & thought I'd try disassembling & cleaning. There is one screw & two push to release tabs on the bottom at the same end as the lever. At the opposite end are two metal tabs holding the bottom on but but you can't slide the bottom to release them because the cover/case is in the way.

I cannot get the knobs or lever handle off, at least with moderate force, in order to lift the front of the cover. And I don't know what is holding the other end of the cover on.

Any suggestions?

Black and Decker TR1278B: Why did my Black and Decker toaster stop working?

This is a 2 part question. MY Black and Decker toaster stopped working. If I hold down the leaver, it WILL toast bread but the leaver will not stay down to toast the bread. But 1st, something I’ve never seen before. On the bottom of the unit there are 4 screws, one of them, on first glance, LOOKS like a regular flat headed screw. BUT, on closer examination, that screw has a built in “bar” across the slot. This prohibits the screw from ever being unscrewed. Very, very strange. Incidentally, the repair guide for the Black and Decker toaster (on ifixit) says the unit has 4 Philip headed screws. That is wrong. It has 3 Philip headed screws and that bizarre looking screw. Has anyone ever run across that weird screw ? Until I can figure out how to unscrew it, I can not proceed. Thanks for any input.

there’s a lot of information about this toaster but not one word about common problems and how to fix it. mine, this morning, doesn’t stay down anymore. the little electric magnet doesn’t get power anymore and also not the entire rest of the “electronics”.
