Thermomix TM5: Should I self repair the TM5 scales?

The scales stopped working by just showing 0000 or max limit weight figures when pressing the lid down. A few days later the scales seem to have recovered its sensitiveness yet it appears to be too sensitive and readings show changes even when untouched.

Is it at all worth attempting to repair it or send it to be repaired?

Thermomix TM5: How to reset the C150 error?

My TM5 shows a C150 error message and immediately shuts down. The problem is a stuck/broken lid sensor. After repairing the sensor the TM5 still shows the error so it must be stored somewhere in the device. How to reset this error store? There are some ebay crooks “selling” you the C150 reset for a hundred bucks so it must be able to be done somehow. Any ideas are appreciated. Just exercising my right to repair.

Thermomix TM5: How can I fix error c208?

My wife closed the device without the bottom lid and after 3 seconds the device shot down, stuck bowl, making clicking noise and code c208 pop up. I dried the device, put it back in place, got out the bowl manually, and put it back into the place. Plugged in, but c208 shows all the time. Official troubleshooting guide says it’s locking mechanism: repair when the error continues to appear.

However there is no further instructions on how to repair it anywhere in the internet. Can someone help me ? Much appreciated.

Thermomix TM5: TM5 crashes when pressing UI

My TM5 shutdown during cooking, and after rebooting, when pressing Next at the initial warnings and disclaimers, it crashes again. I’ve disassembled and cleaned the main board with alcohol, and all the caps looked fine. After cleaning it looked ok for half an hour, but then it started doing this again. It seems that the reboot happens while it’s playing the clicking sound. Anyone has any clues of what the issue might be? It’s two and half years old…

Atualizar (01-06-2020)

I fixed it by reflowing the circuit that lies on the back of the display and that seems to have fixed it (been going for some months now). Seems it was a bad solder joint somewhere but I couldn’t pinpoint as I don’t have a microscope.

Thermomix TM5: Dial jumps when selecting speed temp etc

I have one of these, it is working fine Except for the dial. Selecting an adequate temperature or time is kind of a minigame. For one dial step sometimes goes back and forth, sometimes does the right thing or sometimes makes a big bump. I was bearing with it because it was just an annoyance, but has been three onions that I only wanted "chopped" and I ended with them utterly pulped because the dial decided it.

I guess I only need to clean contacts, but before try to tear it I was hopping if someone here has some experience, If it is an easy task or if does not worth it.

Thermomix TM5: Thermomix TM 5 Error C 39

My Thermomix TM 5 is displaying an error c39 and only has the option to shutdown. This occurs when i attempt to start the chopping cycle. Once selecting the speed the arms lock the bowl and the panel displays error c39 and informs you that the unit will shutdown. The user only has the option to click OK on the touch panel and the unit proceeds to shutdown with the arms locked on to the bowl. Can anyone shed some light on this and how i could look into repairing this. Thanks in advance.

Thermomix TM5: Thermomix TM5 error 143.Can I repair it?

Once I have managed to repair the scales by sticking the wires onto the wall to avoid contact with the board I seem to have managed to create a new error:143.

Now this could be because i stuck all the wires ( 2 sets of them) together onto the wall or disturbing sensors when puting it back together etc

Thermomix TM5: TM5 Short Circuits, No Error Code

My Thermomix powers up normally but when turning the speed knob to power up the motor it immediately short circuits. When powering it up again it gives a message that it wasn't shut down correctly. When trying to run it with the bowl missing it gives a bowl missing error and does not short circuit.

My guess is that some water leaked inside but I'm not sure where (bowl pins connector, motor). Should I disassemble it and use a hair blow dryer or is there a safer way to try and save it?
