Texas Instruments TI-83 Plus: TI-83 Plus keeps going blank when it get's to the bottom of the screen

I have a TI-83 Plus Silver Edition that I just recently purchased because my other one was having this issue, and now this new one is having the same issue. What happens is I'll be typing stuff in and once the numbers get to the bottom of the screen, it just shuts off and I have to press 2nd on to fully shut it off before I can get the screen to show up again. I just gave it new batteries, including a new cell battery and I tried resetting it. Sometimes with this new calculator the screen will just randomly go blank before I've even reached the bottom of the screen.

Basically, either the screen shuts off or it turns really dark and a bunch of black lines appear when I reach the bottom of the screen. Does anyone know how to fix this? I bought it used, maybe somethings worn out idk.

Texas Instruments TI-83 Plus: How do I fix nothing working but contrast?

When the calculator turns on, the only function working is changing the contrast. You can put the contrast up and down, but you can't see anything being entered at any contrast. It seemed like it was the buttons, so I cleaned it, but it didn't seem to work.

Texas Instruments TI-83 Plus: One row of keys not working

The row of keys from "Clear" all the way to "Enter" (the most right row on the keyboard) of my Texas Instruments ti-83 plus aren't working. Also, the directional keys aren't working. Strangely, a few days ago, they still worked nice as normal. I already opened the calculator to find maybe any dirt or contaminated contact (cleaned them with rubbing alcohol), but still no functioning keys. Battery are fully charged, and the rest of the keys just work fine.

Does anybody know how to fix this problem?

Texas Instruments TI-83 Plus: TI-83 plus won't turn on

My TI-83 Plus has sat mostly unused for the last 8 years. Today, I plugged in 4 batteries, and got an all-black screen. Assuming it was a contrast issue, I hit 2nd+down repeatedly. That did nothing. I then took out the batteries and put them back in. This time, the calculator wouldn't turn on.

I searched for the issue and tried the standard methods of holding down "CLEAR" + "ON" and also holding down "DEL" while taking out a single battery and re-inserting it. In neither case did the calculator turn back on.

When I take out all the batteries for about 20 minutes or longer and then plug them back in, then the calculator does turn back on, but does the same "all black" screen a couple of times before reverting back to simply not turning on at all.

Texas Instruments TI-83 Plus: Ti 83 Not turning on but has horizontal lines

Hello

My ti 83 will not turn on

The only way something will show up on the screen is when I take a battery out, hold clear and put the battery back in.

But when I put it back, horizontal lines show up on the screen

Also the longer I hold clear, the more lines. Also tried del button fix. And the color contrast is fine also. Any ideas?
