Texas Instruments TI-83 Plus: Top screen cable appears slightly disconnected

My TI-83+ recently ran into the infamous glitchy screen issue, and I after checking the bottom screen cable using a multimeter to the best of my abilities, I am pretty sure that the top cable is the problem. Upon closer inspection, it looks like the top cable is slightly disconnected on one side, see images:

(The lines of melted cable are from my poor attempt at solving the issue using a cheap soldering iron, under the assumption that the problem was with the adhesive.)

Is it possible that my screen problems are due to this slight misalignment if the screen cable, and if so, how do I solve the issue?

Edit: After further thought, I think only the black part, which I assume to be the adhesive is misaligned. My question still stands though.

Texas Instruments TI-83 Plus: TI-83 Plus keeps going blank when it get's to the bottom of the screen

I have a TI-83 Plus Silver Edition that I just recently purchased because my other one was having this issue, and now this new one is having the same issue. What happens is I'll be typing stuff in and once the numbers get to the bottom of the screen, it just shuts off and I have to press 2nd on to fully shut it off before I can get the screen to show up again. I just gave it new batteries, including a new cell battery and I tried resetting it. Sometimes with this new calculator the screen will just randomly go blank before I've even reached the bottom of the screen.

Basically, either the screen shuts off or it turns really dark and a bunch of black lines appear when I reach the bottom of the screen. Does anyone know how to fix this? I bought it used, maybe somethings worn out idk.

Texas Instruments TI-83 Plus: Calculator no longer working after opening it up

Hello I tried to clean the keyboards of my calculator by taking apart according to YouTube but when I put it back together the screen just goes in and out sometimes and shows a lot of lines but nothing clear. I remember I had to pull back the thin metal or aluminum sheet to get to the keys but I put it back. Should there be anything specific to look at when I open it to see why it’s doing that?
