Texas Instruments TI-83: Why is my screen faint?

My calculator was working fine until this morning during a test the screen turned super faint. It didn't die because I can still (almost) see the numbers.

The batteries are new but I tried other ones just in case.

Any ideas?

Texas Instruments TI-83: Why does my screen have vertical stripes on it?

Slowly (over the past several years), the screen on my TI-83 has developed more and more vertical stripes in the background, making it more and more difficult to see the numbers on the screen. How can I fix this? I realize that a new calculator doesn't cost very much, but this one has sentimental value, and I'd really like to repair it, if possible. Thank you.

Texas Instruments TI-83: Why is my screen acting weird

So when I want to do the thing where you do a number then enter then add/subtract/multiply/divide then enter multiple times so it goes up by increments (don't actually know what it's called) I can only press enter 5 times and then the screen goes wonky if I try to enter more than that. I don't know the technical terms so this is probly hard to figure out but some help would be great ^~^ thanks

Texas Instruments TI-83: trouble installing ion shell using TI connect

I am trying to install the ION.83G file into the ti83 RAM using the TI/connect "send to device" feature. I have done this sucessfully before with my 83+ , but this one keeps giving me the error message "the file format is invalid (8C020013)". Other files are transferring fine, and I have tried using other shells for the 83 with the same error message. I have also tried resetting the RAM. Is there something I am missing, or is there an issue with this calculator in particular?
