Multimeter: My Klein Tools MM700 multimeter is reading voltage incorrectly

i recently was given a broken Klein Tools MM700 multimeter at my work andit does everything properly except diode test and voltage. in diode test it just reads 1.031v no matter what doesn't change weather i toggle hold or unplug the probes. in voltage mode when measuring a 1.5v battery it reads .5v for a second then goes to 0v and when measuring 240vac it reads 24vac on autoranging but when i put it on the non auto ranging it reads 70vac. i verified all measurement with another multimeter and they read fine on that one. all the other modes like temp, resistance, continuity and capacitance that use that probe work great.

i have a set which shows error FPGA mismatch

MEMCON 3 error after checking manual , its say its acquisition board faulty.

i managed to purcvhase a working set and then replace it with a acquisition board ... it was working for one but then it become blank screen. then it keep re booting.

Looking to buy my first multimeter. I have access to an old RadioShack multimeter that struggles with continuity, often taking a full second or more before beeping when the probes are shorted. I am looking for a multimeter for home projects and small repairs/tinkering so accuracy isn't necessarily my top concern, but responsiveness is as it will help reduce uncertainty and be more enjoyable to use.

If I quickly drag the probe across IC pins, will it:
A. Beep if a single pin is shorted to the other probe (not likely to miss a short)
B. Be reasonably noticeable to the average person. (loud beep on quick short)

I don't need it to be latching, just reasonably usable for this use case. I have used multimeters very briefly and am basically completely new to the hobby.

Fnirsi FNB58: Is there an audio device inside to make sounds on button presses?

I recently got an FNB58 and have been exploring its capabilities. In the settings for the device there is an on/off control for button press sounds. I haven't been able to get this to work so I was wondering if there is actually a sound capability in the FNB58. From the teardown pictures I don't see anything that looks like a speaker. Is there actually one inside that I'm not seeing?

While i was taking the pcb from my tester i slipped up and somehow my screwdriver went out of the hole and in my finger. Anyways does anyone know a replacement for this green button because mine is broken into pieces. I taught about using eraser of a pencil but is was too big. Any ideas? Or should i buy a new one all togheter? Everyting works fine tho just the rubber button is broken.

Please note, I had select a device, my device is not listed.

I have one of these older readouts and I need to get a copy of the manual (cannot find mine). i need to change some of the settings as, the display does not correctly read the distance traveled (not a diameter / radius or metric / imperial issue). I cannot find anything online except Coast Machinery Parts - they have some. I am in Australia. I have tried many times to contact them in various ways to get a copy of the manual in any form, but they do not respond.

Can anyone help?

Power Supply: Dover ENM3308021 Power Supply Not Working

I have a Dover ENM3308021 power supply that is not working, or at least that's what I've been told. A customer gave the overly helpful description of it isn't working. When I power it on, the fan and LED's turn on and I get voltage on the pinouts. I matched the voltage (not under a load) to that of a working power supply of the same model. I'm a little out of my normal scope of practice here and could use some suggestions on what to test (and how to test) to see if I can determine the components that are bad. I solder well, so fixing it shouldn't be difficult, it's just a matter of finding what to replace. Any suggestions are helpful!

Etekcity Lasergrip 1080: Keep getting ERR in Display

My fairly old Lasergrip 1080 will work a few times and then get stuck on displaying ERR. I have to remove the battery for a bit for it to work again. But it will get back into the ERR mode shortly. Any idea what is causing it and how to fix it? I put in a new battery and that did not make any difference.

I just invested in a Princeton Applied Research PAR-124a Lock-In Amplifier that came with the 116 Differential Pre-Amplifier module.

Before I turn this on, I want to read into more the two manuals I found online as well as try to find others with user experience regarding use, preventative maintenance (PM), modifications, improvements and/or custom upgrades/options.

Any insight into use of the system is kindly appreciated.

My plans are primarily for ULF/ELF/VLF radio signals monitoring, logging and most likely DSP as I plan to couple an interface to the readout dial meter at the least. I might be overthinking what I need to do as I do see there are outputs… I was offered a discounted price and accepted the offer as I plan to work with later this summer and most likely this fall. Fun with other projects for the time being. :-|)

Power Supply: Can Power Supply be fixed?

I removed a Switching Power Supply 650W ATX 12V 3 pin plug of the PC from the multi-plug without switching off the mains power; consequently as I removed the 3 pin I shorted one of the pins and the power supply didn't work anymore.

Is it possible to repair this or not?
