Table Lamp: How do I disassemble socket?

Hi,

I have a table lamp with a screw socket. My problem is I can’t see how to disassemble the harp saddle, socket and the sockets outer cover from the pipe.

There are no markings on the outer cover to press, I see no screw or nut, I have moved the internal contacts maybe the outer parts are retained by the socket itself but no luck.

Rather than buying a new sunset lamp, I would like to fix or replace this halogen bulb. Looks easy enough to remove it, just need to know how and where to find these bulbs , and if they can come presoldered (preferred)

Table Lamp: touch lamp not working with new LED lamp

I recently replaced a broken filament light bulb with a new (dimmable) LED light in a touch lamp on my night stand. When I touched it, it didn't work, but after unplugging the lamp and plugging it in again, the light was on. Upon touch, the light went out but again it was impossible to put it on again by touching the lamp. So now I have a lamp that I need to unplug/plug in to have it work. What could be causing this weird behavior? And is there a way to fix this?

Table Lamp: Small lamps with 40w bulbs flickering without explaination

A couple of weeks ago I noticed 2 small lamps with 40 watt bulbs that I have in a couple locations in my home were pulsing in tandem (not flickering) in the evening. I have had them for about a year. After replacing and tightening the bulbs, all screws and checking all cords, the issue remained. This week I brought in 2 brand new lamps with new bulbs thinking perhaps the previous lamps had simply run their course. Tonight the new lamps are flickering (not pulsing this time) while the washing machine is running it’s agitator cycle (not happening during the rinse or drain parts of the cycle). I’ve taken the new lamps around to different outlets throughout the house and with 21 outlets tested, the flickering was happening in 18 of them. Other electrical items in the house (ceiling lights, appliances, lamps with higher wattage bulbs) are not experiencing these issues. Just these 40 watt lamps. I would greatly appreciate any help! Either that or save me a seat in the loony bin because I’m at my wits end.

Table Lamp: Bedside LED Lamp turns on and then off in a blink

Hello everyone.

Here is my bedside lamp which has some problems, when I turn it on, it turns on just for a moment and then goes off. Which component in its circuit is probably causing this? Is it one of those 3 LEDs or that capacitor or one of those resistors?

Table Lamp: Why does the bulb suddenly start to shake and then break down?

The light of my table lamp (that has always worked normally) started to shake and after some minutes switched off and was not working anynore. I replaced the bulb, and it happened the same again. What can I do?
