TP-Link Archer C7: TP-Link Archer C6 (V3.20) Water Damage - No Power After Getting Wet

***

Hi everyone,

My TP-Link Archer C6 (AC1200, V3.20) got wet after accidental water exposure. Since then, the router shows no signs of life when the power adapter is connected.

What I've checked so far:

Opened the router and inspected the PCB.

No obvious burnt components.

No exploded capacitors.

No visible severe corrosion or damaged traces.

Antenna connections and main board appear physically intact.

Router currently does not power on at all (no LEDs).

Router Details:

(Attach all PCB photos, both sides, power section, and close-ups)

Questions:

Which components commonly fail first after water damage on the Archer C6?

Is there a fuse, protection diode, or power MOSFET near the DC input that I should test?

What voltage rails should I measure after applying 12V power?

Are there any known schematics or boardviews available for this model?

Based on the photos, does anyone notice signs of corrosion or damage that I may have missed?

I have a multimeter and am comfortable performing component-level diagnostics if someone can guide me through the measurements.

Thanks!

the router when I turn it on is stuck on the blue circulating light, after checking with the repair shop they said that it needs a new EEPROM (a piece where the firmware of the router is stored) which they do not have at the repair shop.
ill need a donation from a similar router from which they can take the EEPROM and install it on my router or I need to find a place where I can buy the EEPROM itself. can you please advise where I can order the EEPROM for the TP-Link AX6000 router?

TP-Link Archer C7: Laptop having trouble connecting to TP-Link range extender

Hi all,

I am having trouble with my TP-link range extender. I use it in access point mode and my laptop has a lot of trouble connecting to it wirelessly. The odd thing is that my phone connects to it without a hitch.

Sometimes my laptop connects to it in one go, sometimes it needs 20 attempts until it finally connects. I am wondering what I can do about it.

Things I have tried:

Different OS, changing the channels of our router and updating wireless drivers. My laptop uses a killer wireless card.

Hope anyone can help! Cheers
