TI-Nspire: How do I get into maintenance mode with the TI-84 keypad?

I got this untested for $18 with an offer, so I do not have a lot invested into this just based on what I paid. However, it only comes with the TI-84 keypad, which is making me think the seller probably used it for school and had to use the TI-84 emulation since they usually come with a Nspire keypad OR at least the Nspire+TI-84 keypads. However, I am not getting either Nspire keypad with this - just the TI-84 one.

With a lot of these it seems to be an OS issue (which is why I bought it). Reloading the OS is not an issue since I have the correct cable (MicroUSB), but I do not know IF you can access the maintenance mode for the Nspire OS with this keypad - I do not see any instructions on how to do so, and Reddit says no.

Is it possible to access maintenance mode with the keypad I got should I need to reload the OS, or do I need to purchase an Nspire specific one if there’s an OS problem and it’s recoverable?

Hi,

I purchased this calculator in ‘08, and used it 2009-2013 with no issues. I tried to turn it on recently after leaving in storage for over 5 years. There were batteries left in it throughout this time. It didn’t power on, even after replacing the old batteries with brand new ones.

There was battery acid build up, after removing said acid it still did not work. I opened it up and scrapped some more from some of the panels, still no luck. I have attached some photos. Anyone have any ideas on how I might be able to fix this?

cant use the calculator..Operating system not found .

cant even instal another from my computer bause its says "your device doesnt respond"

Can someone tell what can I do?

Is there a place that I can get it fixed for me? The screen is cracked from the inside.

I have connected it to a working calculator and attempted to turn it on that way. I know there is a way to push a sequence of buttons to reset it, but I cannot find what they are. Does anyone know how to do this?

TI-Nspire: Lines Across Screen is my Screen Broken?

My graphing calculator screen has vertical lines going across the screen. It still lets me calculate stuff, but I can't read it. I tried to restart it and gave it new batteries but didn't work.

I have an old TI-Nspire and it's screen isn't all that bright with an LED backlit light. I was wondering if the screen could be replaced with a newer model so I could see it better when there is little light. Could the screen be replaced by a different calculator screen? Thank you!
